Good solutions here for keeping warm but what about keeping dry, particularly on multi-day trips when you really don't want rain on your head and running down your neck?

It's a bit of a lottery when you can't ride them beforehand so fingers crossed. Thanks everyone. I'm currently riding a Specialized Crosstrail Sport for commuting and exercise but I have a Canyon Grand Canyon on order which I'm really looking forward to... got a few more weeks to wait yet though! I had found the graveljog thread, I think I can glean some good info from it altho...

I'm new to the forum and thought I'd say hello... "Hello!"

Having done some lightweight backpacking, and had thoughts about doing the same thing on a bike, it's great to discover the world of bikepacking! ... I'm planning on riding LEJOG offroad next year.
