Re: Which Exposure light?

One light for on and off road is a bit too much to ask for, as the beam patterns suited to each are very different. Maxx-d Vs Strada, for example. Exposure is a good choice though... Re: Recommend me a GPS

I have the garmin 830, I don't reccomend, it is crap in the wet, but otherwise excellent. Apparently the new 840 is supposed to be OK in the wet . Having come from a walking gps I highly recommend getting a bike one, at least with garmin, the direction turn by turn features are vaguely exciting. A ...

Like my cycle, I'm "bi" Grew up in the pre-internet world, and hadn't even seen a computer until after I left school. Have, however, spent most of my working life in software development, so very comfortable in the digital world. I'm equally at home fixing/making things from scratch with m...

Quite like a Diplomatico. Had a nice Plantation one that had Pineapple tree bark in it at some point. Would recommend. Generally I'd avoid the spiced stuff. Re: Sleep system for the side sleepers

Draughts aside (which is what puts me off quilts) the biggest issue that I find, with side sleeping, is lying on my arm and getting pins & needles. The solution that I've arrived at, is to cross my arms and hold opposite shoulders - a bit like Dracula, in his coffin - as it keeps things in a mor...

Knowing how satisfying it is, to build a bike from frame upwards, I can only imagine the sense of achievement that comes from doing the extra welding/painting/fettling involved in this build.
I can definitely imagine the smile on your face, when riding it.

Superb job, that man.👍👍👍👍👍

Re: Fitting a valve to a drybag

Just start the roll of the closure, say one turn, then with the bag upright, lean your weight on the top and you will find the air will be forced out. Once it's compressed, quickly pull up on the closure buckles and roll down a couple more turns. This ^^^ My riding buddy saw me do that, on a trip, ...

Cheers for the tip, Stu...

Re: I seem to be stuck for a wheel

Thanks for the replies chaps. All I've got to do now is learn how to lace a wheel. This could end badly. It might be easier and safer to look for a complete wheel. Align the new rim on top of the wheel and tape them together. Remove one spoke at a time from the wheel and place it into the appropria...

The real downer to these devices, is downloading the trace from your trail hound, seeing just how much ground they cover (compared to you, on your bike) then feeling a bit inadequate

I guess that the size of the cups doesn't matter, as long as everything else use the same cup.
All bets are off, though, when other ingredients are in specific measurements, as these don't scale with the cups.

Having said that, a lot of recipes can be tweaked, to suit preferences

Well, I got round to making some of the OPs recipe, yesterday... Used cashews, because I had some, and raisins, because I like a bit of fruit in my flapjacks.
