Having worked as an academic and scientist for many years, I will assure you, many scientists have still yet to discover bonking.

Boreas Pass is a brute. One of the climbs I hated. But...it's the gateway to the end.

I think I was ahead of you both through there, I remember running from a storm. It was dry, fast, and smooth.

Re: The 2022 Tour Divide watchers thread.
Re-routes are usually emailed as a word doc, and or if short enough, sent as a text by Matt. Usually, they are straightforward enough, and at that point you should have already considered that it may happen. I had all the previous re-route/alternates pre-loaded in my GPS that had historically been u...

Re: Substitute for chamois creme
Anyone found a readily available suitable substitute for chamois creme? Sudocrem, Savlon etc. I'd rather buy a small tube of something to carry around on tours than a big pot of the real stuff. Gravy. I haven't used the chamois cream in about 8 years now. Don't feel the need for it. Modern inserts ...

I like that, hours of fun. I do love a trig point, especially those in what are now apparently odd locations, tells you about the history of the place. On The Island there is one in the middle of a woods, one in an industrial estate and one that's got woods on one side and a 6fy high close boarded ...

I'm back! British sprint orienteering championships at the weekend. Two different university areas in Leeds. Saturday was the relays, team I was on came 7th, not bad as we were mostly all injured! Main thing is we made no mistakes, unlike many other teams. Sunday was the sprint champs themselves, I'...

I think I walked about 50m of snow in 2016. Pretty much a non issue. That being the year that Mikes flag is based off.
It was most definitely a fast year. We had very little rain to deal with after Canada.
