Re: Today's Run
Coiners fell race - 11km with 325m vet and a lot of fast trails that my legs can't handle at the moment! Started out hard (careful now) in order to get to the stile that always causes a bottle neck. Ran well up the next climb and flat before having a bit of a wobble along the climb to the Pike. Lost...

Re: Today's Run
Urban orienteering in Manchester yesterday, part of a 4 day series of races. 34 controls, 7.5km, 37mins. Brutally fast. Had a good run, pretty much perfect route (was supposed to be 7.6km best line) came 4th vet by 6 seconds (mildly annoying) and only 16th overall including the fast M21 runners. Hap...

Re: Today's Run
Another racing weekend. British Middle distance champs on Saturday - less said the better, missed my start by 10mins (which means the clock has already been running) got flustered, navigated and ran poorly. So just turned it into a training run. Gutted. Northern Champs at Kilnsey on Sunday - made my...

Never had issues. Hard case box, with a TSA approved lock they can open if need be.

Re: Today's Run
Racing season full underway now, just about fit enough to enjoy it. Saturday: a three part sprint orienteering race (1.5km, 2.9km, 1.9km for each course straight line) with 38 controls in total. Oddly two transitions between locations. Had a good day, 4th person overall (two 21 elites ahead of me, o...

As someone riding one most days, it's a great frame. One of my favourite bikes.

Re: Bike packing full suspension frame/ bike recommendations
I've had pretty much every generation of the Spearfish... they've all worked well. Except for the one I cracked... but that was most definitely the rocks fault, not mine. Currently riding the carbon one (most recent version) and it has been great. Can't fault it, and the "larger" amount of...

Re: Today's Run
Its the dark kind of grey outside now
It's the cold that'd doing my head in. I just want double digits for a few days. Really getting bored of running in long tops and legs at this point. Its March FFS.

Re: Monks trod - wtf
WOW...I really can't think of a bog less suitable to a motorised vehicle than Monks Trod. Let them have at it, after a few hundred go through they may just about be able to get across it on their carcases.
One of very few trails I swore I would never ride again.

Re: Barkley Marathons chitchat
Apparently Jared C waited for her before they started, then let her choose. Seeing as he already has three finishes, this feels like quite a wonderful sporting attitude.
As for easier, i guess in a way its supposed to be less hard.
