That's an excellent shot. Slightly tighter crop on the LHS to take out the horse butt (maybe a rock) on the land horizon and it's even better.

ISO125, f 4.5, ss 1/1250 Considering the slow lens and DOF, that's some damn good autofocus to pull that and not blur the panno. One of your better shots - and you resisted over p...

Re: Isla bikes

I had the joy of taking Isla out for a tour of Calderdale once, very memorable day. Both of us riding SS, with Tracey Mosley and her partner on gears. I was riding well (racing a lot and fit), she had at least 10 years on me, and it was a day of chase the whippet up the hills for me, then struggle t...

Re: Tour Divide 2024

Does depend on the rider though. I could happily have ridden on thinner tyres (rode 2.3s) but they gave me the option of riding, not mincing, down the CDT alternates, Goldrush Trail and the other more technical downs with a large degree of safety. But, there were HUGE sections I'd have loved somethi...

Re: Today's Run

Coiners fell race - 11km with 325m vet and a lot of fast trails that my legs can't handle at the moment! Started out hard (careful now) in order to get to the stile that always causes a bottle neck. Ran well up the next climb and flat before having a bit of a wobble along the climb to the Pike. Lost...
