Re: Ethical and Environmental Options

As others have hopefully said (bit of TLDR for this, soory) - if you want "Ethical and Environmental Options" buy used kit.

Plenty out there.

Re: My Big Camera And Its Future

The trick is to go out and take photos. Not worry about what you're taking them with. In the end, very few people will actually care. If you want to print the images, and actually care about the resolution, take the camera and create the images you want. If you just want to splurt them on SM, take t...

Yeah it is edited. But I still enjoy it.
No issues with that at all. All of my digital stuff is edited as it's shot as RAW and converted to B&W. Only non edited stuff I shoot is film.

I did it about 10 days into the TDR. At night. Right as I was pulling onto a road. Suffice to say I pedalled very fast in the dark until Hartsall.

Re: Really?

What's wrong with carving spoons? Literally something to do while sitting about not staring at a screen. Or, for some, a way of making something for someone else. Literally a tradition in Wales. Just because you don't like a passtime someone else chooses to do, doesn't make it s**t. Non-spoon carver...

I've a set of Hunt x Mason wheels on - early version, but they have literally not thrown a spoke or a wobble and I have battered the s**t out of them.

Mine was a frame up build - first thing I spec'd was good wheels. As Jameso said, makes a massive difference.

Re: Cotic Escapde thoughts?

Having put close to 5,000km on my Escapade I'll give my brief thoughts: Excellent value for money - mine has not had an easy life, used as a daily commuter, raced the Dirty Reiver, used a lot for pre TDR training. Still works, gets me places, also gets me into trouble the odd time with the things I'...

Not often that I sit down, screw filters onto a lens, bracket images, then spend time combining multiple captures to make one image. Processing some film again. Kentmere 400 shot at 800 and developed in 6 month old chemicals on a continual agitation. Usual Leica M6 and Voigtlander 50mm f1.2 lens combo. Came out well. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48937679901_73ed7c40e4_c.jpg Kentmere_800_M6_ (11).jpg by Greg.May , on Flickr...
