Haven't used but I like the look of some of the x country stuff. Think Scott Sparks and the new Canyon Lux stuff. Both Short travel and lightweight.

Is this between Fremington and Castle Bolton or over the back of Booze on the track that leads to School Master Pasture?

I'm a short arse but you can't beat EE for customisable options and boutique build quality at a fair price. :-bd

Re: More Garmin weirdness

My 800 crashed about 30k from the finish and I used a spare one to navigate the rest of the ride. I have set them both to record to the SD card to avoid data loss in the (inevitable) event of a crash. but that didn't work this time, something odd has happened to that file. I uploaded it here - http...

Cracking ride everyone. Some of those time are mind-blowing, especially considering some of the trials and tribulations you had to endure. Thanks to Stu and Dee for their hospitality and thoughtful route planning ;). It was great riding with so many friendly people, too many to name but thanks to Jo...

Can I have a moan??? Which one of you failed to secure my lights to the front of my bike this morning? I've lost em and I'm mightily pissed off. On the bright side I'm glad it happened now and not this weekend. Silver lining and all that. Please see classifieds for WTD. Cheers. :-bd

Re: Att' BB200 Riders.

Its seems funny to me that so many people have fond memories of 2014. Maybe time is a healer after all! Last year the lack of headwinds, great weather, perfect foodstops, and good company all combined to make for an easier ride. It only takes one of those to be off to send most of us back into...

Re: Bikepacking in New Zealand

Me and the other half did four months bike touring from the Cape to the Bluff! Amazing country, the people are so warm and friendly. Further to other suggestions on here you could also have a crack at the Alps 2 Ocean route (we did it in reverse and then headed to Canterbury) on the South Island. I ...

I wouldn't worry. As Stu previously mentioned, if your on the reserve list you'll probably get in.

Re: Cycle2Charge Reliability?

If I plug something into mine and just spin the wheel by hand (quickly), I get a charging indicator on the device. Same here. Haven't used mine in anger (since the last BB200). Actually thought it had broken too on that particular ride but performing the above test suggest it's still pumping out po...

Re: Whats lighting your ride?

Ay-up! I've had Ay-ups for the last few years. To be honest I can have no complaints. Used em skiing and for my weekend rides. They also spent almost 6 continuous months (in all conditions) on the bikes during our ride round NZ and California. Only now I'm having a problem with the batteries due to ...
