Re: More BB200 thanks

More of the same from me. Thanks again to Stu, Dee and everyone else who helped put on this epic event. A little disappointed in myself for not Improving my colour of badge from last year. But if you don't train, I guess you don't get any better! Big thanks go to Gairy and his battered ass! If he ha...

Re: BB200 last month of 'training'

Walked up a steep hill with my fully laden bike yesterday.....alas a severe lack of tussocks! A leisurely (if thats possible)YD200 at the weekend. Hope I recover in time!

Already ordered the t-shirt ta. For the life of me, I could have sworn people were riding in BB200 Jerseys last year. Must be my age catching up with me and making my mind all befuddled!

Re: YD200 promo vid.

Just did a little recce of the route around Skipton up to Kilnsey and back. Great route but your not wrong about the sting in the tail. Never mind the ascent, that decent in the loose stuff is tres treacherous. I am not looking forward to that after 200km.

Re: Shoes recommendation

+1 For the Giro Terraduros. They did have some issues with the sole coming away from the uppers but seem to have sorted this now. Sizing can be tricky so make sure you try em first, or at least buy them from somewhere you can take them back too.

What the reserve list looking like Stu? After last years no show's, would it be worth pitching up anyway, if I don't get confirmed?

+1 on the MSR Hubba Hubba. Been researching this for quite a while and if comfort, accessibility and weight are your priorities, this is the one. Missed out on the sale at Blacks and could have got it for 273 through Quidco.

New Genesis Longitude. Initial thoughts?

Genesis have just released details from there 2016 line up. After selling out last years model, they've controversially decided to change this years to a 27.5+ set up. Personally I don't have a problem with this as being a short arse 29+ tyres always seemed a bit demonic. Their set up also allows fo...

Re: YorkshireDales300

Good write ups guys.Thanks. So disappointed I didn't get to do this. I hadn't realised so many had dropped out (I was on the reserve list). Anyway I had committed myself to supporting the GF as she attempted the Coast to Coast in a day. In hindsight, I probably wasn't in the best shape, after comple...

Re: Hello Lily

So of the three discussed here, 3DR are the only people who have a product you can buy right now then? Good point about indeterminate delivery times (any Rooster backers reading?). On more competition for the market, yes this is a good thing, but tech has a habit of rolling out continued improvemen...

Re: Hello Lily

Its too late to the game. Airdog has a good year and a half headstart (albeit not waterproof) and is still struggling. Obstacle avoidance ain't coming anytime soon so thoughts of ripping through a forest are pie in the sky. 20 mins flight time is good but I don't see a gimbal on there so steady smo...

Re: Seat pack quandary...

Having only used my Revelate stuff on a few rides and without experience of the WIldcatGear stuff its hard for me to compare. What I will say though is with minimal use some of my Revelate gear has failed (Gas Tank velcro strap coming unstiched) or worn through (terrapin rubbing on seat post clamp)....

Re: Cycle 2 charge USB device

Paid via Paypal and received the usual payment confirmation, but as yet nothing from Cycle2charge themselves. I shot them an email...

Re: Travel insurance

We used a smaller firm (the name escapes me right now). You couldn't book online but they were very helpful and the cover was excellent for the price. Completely off topic but still Interesting, is that one leg of our journey took us up the Pacific Highway in California. We'd assumed that this would...
