Smokestone bikes closing?
I heard a rumour that Graham was closing up shop at Smokestone bikes... is that true? Seems a shame if so. I heard great things about his bikes and always lusted after their drop bar mountain bike, Mr Harry I think.

Re: Sub 1k hardtail
Considering selling my medium el mariachi frameset with a rockshox 100mm fork if something more XC floats your boat I'm going to ask a stupid question... what makes that bike mote XC? I assume that means cross country? Sorry I'm not familiar with the terminology really so not sure if I'd want more ...

something from Cube would be my choice. i am trying to sell my Fatbike, and this is gonna be my purchase. Cube offer far more for the money, than fashionable names/niches. https://www.paulscycles.co.uk/bikes/mountain-bikes/cube-reaction-pro-hardtail-mountain-bike-2022-verdegreen__8926 Looks good! T...

The Blackburn Outpost standard front roll bag is very long and thin. I'll measure mine when I get home.

Sub 1k hardtail
Are there any bargains around for hardtails up to £1k? Something appropriate for bikepacking of course.

WRT kid friendly route
Hi all. I'm considering bringing my son on the WRT but he's only ten. So was wondering if anyone has a short route from BB towers that would be suitable for a ten year old, who's a relatively competent rider, but not the strongest legs? Campsites are fine, but wild camping is good too. Cafe and pub ...

Re: High mount bottle cage?
Anyone know of a bottle cage with the bolt holes right at the bottom, so the cage essentially mounts very high up? Cheers I know of the little bar things that move cages up or down, these are the second best option  I found my Specialized Roll cage mounted low, and thus pushed the bottle quit...
