Re: Weehoo Igo wheel removal

Thanks guys, I'll get it out of the garage later and see if I can remove using the method Zippy suggested. The wheel is currently held in place with pair of washers and nuts either side. Is it possible to replace this with a QR affair? Or would that be wholly dependent on the wheel?

Weehoo Igo wheel removal

Very specific, I know. It's a long shot, but does anyone here know how to remove the wheel on a Weehoo Igo trailer? I need to change the tube, but as it's basically single speed, I don't know how to relieve the pressure on the chain in order to get the wheel free of the dropouts.

Re: Odd braking behaviour, loss of pressure?

Roughly how much pressure should the cable the be applying to the brake lever ? As in "Just closing the lever", "what you'd apply when braking" or "trying to snap it off"?

Try cable tying the brake lever on overnight, might fix it
Sorry, I'm not with you. You mean use a cable tie to hold the brake on over night? Does it some how bleed the brake hose?

Odd braking behaviour, loss of pressure?

Hey all, My Mrs has a new bike, a Marin Wildcat Trail 5, and very nice it is too! I noticed something odd the other day whilst cleaning the bike, If I apply the front brake, everything appears to work perfectly. The brake lever comes back about half way to through it's travel, then the brake "b...

I've washed the fly in cold water and it seems a lot better now. Just some staining.

Mawddach trail

I'm writing this on a mobile, so forgive any typos please. Also, I'll add pictures soon. I took the wife and son down to Dolgellau last week, as due to work, I don't think we'll be able to make the TBB event in two weeks. We got to Dolgellau, pulled up in the large car park at the head of the trail ...

 this is a work of genius! And you can still pop gpx files on for routes not "in the map" by default?

Re: Bikepack Maps - New Version

Sorry if I'm being thick. Is this a Track or Route, like a gpx? Or is this a base "map" with bikepacking routes already highlighted, thus negating the need for the gpx?

Pre TBB family outing

As the Ootini attendance of this year's Teddy Bear Bones event is hanging in the balance, depending on work. We've decided to have a couple of nights out around the Mawddach Trail area tonight and tomorrow. Anyone about?

Fab. So default is "on" for general riding. "Off" only when fiddling with rear wheel. Cheers

Derailieur on / off. Eh?

My Mrs has a new bike, a Marin Wildcat WFG5. It's got a 1x10 drive train and the other day I noticed the rear mech as an on off lever on it. Any theories ?

Re: which bar roll (with stand off things).

Between me n the Mrs we use the Blackburn one, plenty of clearance but a bit over engineered imo, and the Triglav, very nice, very simple, enough clearance for shimano brakes and shifters.

When the valve is closed, there's no exposed risk, and therefore no need for the cap?

Have you always used GraigWen? Anyone have any experience of Trawsdir? The Mrs likes the idea of a camp site a little closer to the town that's all.

Mrs ootini, mini ootini znd myself are going for a pootle down the Mawddach trail route next week. I know the TBB event uses the small campsite on the southern side of the estuary. Has anyone used Trawsdir campsite ? Just north of Barmouth? Ta

Au gravelle. Sub 1k

I've finally got permission from SWMBO to buy a new bike. Therefore, I was wondering if you lot had thoughts on a sub 1k gravel bike. I'm thinking pinnacle Arkose x, or Sonder Camino AL.

What you reckon ?
