Re: What you done t' your bike today

Swapped the kit over from the old stooge MK1 frame to the shiny new MK4. Spent the rest of the evening swearing profusely as I tried (unsuccessfully) to remove the seatpost from the frame.

At junctions you could just alternate between left and right.

Re: Saudi Arabia?

There are some lovely looking mountains out near Yanbu on the red sea coast, look like they should have some potential but I just don't think there is much in the way of walking or riding (of any form) to have put much in the way of trails in. And it's really hot and the driving is properly terrifyi...

Re: Invermoriston to Skye

Have you done the trail to the north of Ben Fhada via Bealach an Sgairne? I've read that it's a better descent.
I have, it's the best descent I've done in the UK and right up there with the best anywhere.

Sold

After moving across to b+ I'm selling my 29/29+ dynamo front wheel from my stooge.

It has an exposure pd-8 hub (qr fitting) and a h-plus son todstreib rim. The internal width is approx 27mm so it'll take standard or plus size tyres.

£150 ono. Now sold

Borah bivvy arrived. Nice and light. http://i.imgur.com/W8ypeVi.jpg Compact. http://i.imgur.com/f0GJVCd.jpg But roomy. Went for the wide version to make sure I can fit my fat ass in and its huge, I could have got away with a standard. http://i.imgur.com/1CDxyhE.jpg And a new phone for perusing this ...

Back roads and byways across to Bethesda then up the cycle route to one of the campsites below Tryfan. Next day take BOAT to Capel Road up to penypass turn off and track down to the bottom of the valley to minor road to Beddgelert. Re: Anyone got a Velo Orange frame?

The more I look the more I see on that, as well as the silly head tube arrangement it's got a metric sub standard load of spacers fitted and then a negative rise stem, the saddle's gopping, needs a black drivetrain, looks daft with those wheels and I'm not sure that standard 29s would make it better...

What's with the head tube protruding so much above the top tube join?

Re: Cycle 2 charge query

Yep. In parallel both off the hub connector. I've disconnected the C2C at the stem cap and the revo works fine, plug it in and I struggle to light up 4 leds. Suggests it's not the connection or a fault in either cable.

I was going to fit a switch but it seems daft to do it for a non working unit.

Re: Bearstock the party - what do you want?

Scattamah/burty sounds like a plan. I was thinking maybe to leave Friday night grab a beer and food in Habberley and bivvy up on Stiperstones before pootling over to Stu's then go to Mach on Sunday to catch the train back. And scattamah are you the one doing the high sports local spot on the tour di...

Cycle 2 charge query

Just to check, it shouldn't be drawing a charge when connected to the hub but nothings plugged in should it? It's just the light output from my revo is much lower with the unit plugged in than not and it makes me think there might be an issue with mine. Without I can light all four lights on the rol...

Re: Bearstock the party - what do you want?

I was looking at riding in from Shrewsbury and I think I've got a reasonable route there with a reasonable mix of back roads and offroad. It's just it's quite a pull back on Sunday if I've availed myself of the free beer on Saturday night. hmm.
