I'll disorganise it if we can go for 4/5 June. Can most make that weekend?

Re: Half a bag better than none?
I've got a PHD half bag I use in the summer with my down jacket. Saves a few grams and a bit of space over a quilt or full bag if you're trying to go ultralight. I also take it when I may get caught out but aren't planning to bivvy. In reality it's a bit of a luxury having as many sleep systems as I...

Re: Anyone had any experience with ZPacks kit?
Bought a pocket tarp and bathtub groundsheet in the summer. Very easy company to deal with and will flex production to meet your deadlines. Used the tarp 4 times, excellent build quality and works well. Pricy though!

BB200 - GPS Failures?
My Edge 800 gave up the ghost at 170km and would not stay on despite having plenty of battery left. Luckily I was riding with someone who's GPS was still working and I had paper maps as a backup.
How many other GPS' failed and when? Are there any common factors? Can we learn anything?

Me and George commented on the tennis court as we passed! Was very randomly on the side of a hill next to a farm. Farming obviously pays well in Wales!

Re: Singular Rooster 29+ (frame and parts)
I'm 6'0" with a 33" inside leg and ride a large Gryphon and Rooster. Have got a 3/4" set back seat post and a 90mm stem with OG bars on the Rooster. Possibly a little short in the TT at the mo but as I'm running it SS I spend a lot of time out the saddle so it's not bothering me enoug...

Re: Shoes recommendation
I tried on some 2015 Spesh Rimes on Ian's recommendation but They didn't do it for me. Not much more give than my Spesh Sport MTBs. Also think sizing may have changed recently. I'm normally a 46 but that was too small and the 47 too big. 2014 version my be more flexible? I went with some size 47 Gir...

Go to system settings and set guidance to off road. Also turn lock on road off. Should help.

Re: Lunar Solo - pitching
Took me a while to get the knack but the official way is the best way imo. I peg out the two front corners of the groundsheet first leaving a little slack (how much comes with practice). Next peg out the centre back, pulling it tautish to give the front points the correct angle to their seam and cre...

Anyone tried a Supernova E3 Triple 2?
Looking at Dynamo lights for bikepacking. Two leading contenders seem to be the Revo (£160) and the Supernova E2 Triple 2 (£125 on Amazon).
Specs seem pretty similar. Anyone got any real world experience of the Supernova light?

Re: Cycle 2 Charge charging
Website says the Cree light draws 1A at 4.2v. Cycle2Charge claims to deliver 5v1A at 15mph on my 29er. I'd say it would therefore run on a steady road ride but, at off road speeds, you wouldn't get much out of it. A cache battery would help but it wouldn't likely keep up with the drain from the ligh...

Re: Cycle 2 Charge charging
Edge 800 was operational during charge. Need to use a cache battery though otherwise every time the speed drops it tells you it's lost power. Using a 2A usb power supply the Edge 800 still draws a max current of 0.5A. I suppose if you were generating 5v 1A you could charge something else in parallel...

Cycle 2 Charge charging
Been experimenting with an 'EzReal Dual Output USB Multimeter' from Amazon and my new exposure Dynamo and cycle2charge usb power supply. With my 29" Ardent 2.4 tyres the Cycle2Charge delivers 5v 0.5A at 8.5mph (13.7kph). This is a little faster than the advertised 12.5kph on 26" wheels, bu...

If I recall, there's a top field you can drive to and walk down to the wilder field. Taylor or Matt could confirm.
