Tom Rowntree has overtaken Jose Bermudez and sits in 8th position, 90 minutes ahead of him. Only 10-13 hours to finish. It's 11am now there so he should finish around midnight. Go, go!

Hey Steve, same problem with the sp here. Twice has failed. First time it was replaced under warranty in record time but again failed and on the move is difficult to coordinate a proper rescue. Really fed up and next time I'll put a SON. Had to buy an etrex and still learning how to use it. Not happ...

Raining in Tyndrum now, just when he's going to start the hardest bit after Ullapool. I'd wait until tomorrow with no rain forecasted.
I assume it's raining in all west Scotland.
