Re: Highland Trail 2015
Brilliant experience. Thanks Alan Also thanks to Fat bike Phil, Ricky C (river crossing up to jersey pockets), Steven, Carl and Javier (whose ankle is giving some real stick). Well done Fraser McBeast - but I'm sure you'd enjoy it more if you occasionally stopped and slept! For anyone considering ne...

Re: Highland Trail 2015
I've had a close eye on the weather for events at Keswick Mountain Festival. The forecast for this weekend has significantly changed three times today! Now looking dry and quite sunny, instead of cool and raining. "Uncertain" seems the only certainty. River crossings? Noah problem...... ED...

Re: Highland Trail 2015
I paid 177 euros and the invoice says Tracker unlimited. It tracked me last night on the 'My Account' page on Spot. marking 19 points over about an hour and a half. It's also now showing as tracked on the HT550 page. I'll check on a dog walk later. Thanks folks.

Re: Highland Trail 2015
Activated track and it flashed at me all the way
My own follow me spot page had correct location with each check in message, just no tracking. HT550 track page still has my 'sign up' location from couple of days ago.

Re: Highland Trail 2015
I take it the trackleaders page only starts tracking once the event starts. Last nights test didn't track at all.
Also (numpty mode), with the basic package from Spot, tracking isn't available is it - only the messages sent show your position. Ta.

Ilan, there are bike shops in Fort William and a small one in Ullapool (ullapool bicycles.com).
Don't know of any others. Best to assume you won't use any.

I‘ll be driving from Keswick via Carlisle and may have space in the van if anyone‘s sruggling for transport. Probably 10am Keswick, 11ish Carlisle on the Friday. May be doing an airport collect. Get in touch if interested. May be a long wait for a lift back though............
