Re: Rolls like a Race King but sets up tubeless?

Crossmarks are very fast rolling. But I usually choose ikons instead. Just a little more bite ifthere is a little bit of wet. No probs on a wtb rim. This winter I am using specilized butcher and purgatory control. While very sure footed in snow, frozen, muddy and loose they are really slow on the fl...

Re: zerodarkbivi

Thanks for the comments. I suffer terribly from cold feet when they get wet, to the point where I use flat pedals in the winter with insulated hikeing shoes. The shoes weigh a ton dry and when wet seem to double. So neoprene socks may be the answer. I will definitely be trying some, I just wonder ho...

Re: zerodarkbivi

Or if anyone else had 'foot suscess' recently feel free to share. As I have tried plenty of things with little suscess. And I hate overshoes.

Zdb I would love to know how you got on with your neoprene socks. Also are they bike specific or just booties from a wetsuit?

Cheers

Re: Meths?

There are a number of different types of methylated spirit. And different names for the same thing. What everyone really wants is 'industrial methylated spirits'. 100% industrial alcohol. But you need a prescription for it. It can only be bought with a prescription or industrial licence from the hom...

Re: Rear Light Issue

If you have a friend who is an electrician it would take them a minute or two to cut, splice and tape an extention.

But your warranty would be invalidated.

Re: new guy+ cairngorm loop.

As races go, it's really friendly. Bikepacking seems to be as much about eating as it is about riding, so it's generally very sociable. I'm off all the way through Christmas and New Year so will be out in the Pentlands a few times for sure. In the end, we didn't make it to Glentress yesterday as th...
