Re: Yay, it's cheery Friday.

Note to Reg...whenever Amyl & The Sniffers has come on the radio recently, I think of you. What's that about? I don't even know you. It's a great song. Apologies for getting inside your head without permission Rapid  I must admit that whenever Amyl is on the radio I think of..... er, wel...

Live Summer Solstice BaM In Progress! Sadly the only nude dancing at midnight will be in my head  . Tour round the local woods. Blimey, maybe the little people are out and dancing after all because there seems to be nobody at home.... https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/53805216795_484db9be75_z...

Lentils are de rigueur, staple food for me as a veggie ... the ponytail can do one! Me too of course. And no chance of a ponytail for this proud slaphead  . Re: Want to buy a pub ? (or a part of a pub)

Stayed there once about 35 years ago. Couple from up north had just taken it over, perfectly pleasant, nowt wrong with it, perhaps other than a "yuppie" makeover. But they renamed it "Brockweir Country Inn", as seemed to be a fashion at that time. I found it amusing that they tho...

We could do a swapsie  Maybe, dunno, not sure where Ken Dodd would rank in my 'limited time on this earth and so many 1000s of great books available' problem tbh  Not the best I've read but worth a few hours. Always fascinating to find out what makes people tick, or what it's believed m...

Usual high standard of jape there :-bd . Felt your frissons of disappointment with the Langholm area sustenance deficiencies - "aw come on guys, whaddya mean no shop?" - uplifted by the random farmers market and relief at Haltwhistle. All been in that situation I think  .

Re: What are you reading now?

After a couple of intentionally thought-provoking books, now onto Sean Ryder's 'How to be a Rock Star' which is surprisinly thought-provoking too. It's a great book about what a brand or anyone else needs to know about credibility and doing the right thing, echoes of Seth Godin's work all the way t...

Re: What are you reading now?

That book shop looks fabulous! Was in one of my own local favourites on Monday, Hungerford bookshop, but it's pretty small compared to that :-bd Highly recommended. Thought I might rectify the fact that nobody seems to have read anything since April 11th  . Spent several hours in the world's best bookshop - Scarthin Books in Cromford. Re: What are you listening to now?

Great fun at Sham 69 gig tonight. Pursey and Parsons must be at least 100 years old now. Managed to ease our way down to the front as usual. Lots of pensioners jumping up and down, crashing zimmer frames into each other and having a marvellous time. Finished at 11pm so we all managed to get back to ...
