+1 for additional velcro straps to hold things onto the bars/top of bar roll. I used to strap a drybag with Sawyer kit up there so it was easy to get to. Faffing in saddle bag for water filtration kit was a PITA.

Was impressed with the Neve Gear Warratah quilt. It's a quilt...it can be configured to have a toe box...it has strap clips for attaching around mats...900 fill...rated for -2C...weighs in at ~480g IIRC. However, it's massive! You could turn it sideways and cover two people sleeping in down jackets....

Have just stumbled across this one and it's not a bad idea. I don't see Ortlieb doing a waist pack anymore and all the rest seem to be made of materials that would wet out eventually. Been trying a Pronghorn here....very stable, just like it's harder-backed cousin that I used to run. Reminds me of a Wildcat harness. I sprung the $35AUD on a replacement fascia for my Etrex20. Device works like a new one and I left the plastic on it this time to keep the screen from getting destroyed like the last. It's a little tatty, but the screen is visible. Not sure about the fancier models, but suspect they can have the fro...

Replaced a few worn bits 'n bobs on Flic. On with new BB-MT501 taken from my brothers Trek after he went with a CK. Sub-200 mile HG500 cassette stolen off the trainer...a fresh 1051 chain. The Hope 32T looked good so I left that. It's wearing well and much longer lasting than the Gamut rings I used ...

That's a cryin' shame. It was a beacon on that climb.
