Heh...I went to order some sales stuff from CRC and all international postage was closed.

So the postie brought me some fresh M4100 cassettes and 32T rings from elsewhere to freshen up the 10 speeds. And some 'beaters for the lads new bouncer.

Hah! : ) Yes....an evening at the Ragleth should be on the cards...and perhaps the Star.

I've a rough idea to take the lad over Trans Cambrian to get to BB country but then it's all open. Gotta strap kit on him this week and get him used to carrying.

Old and New - UK Tour 2024

Getting in a bit late to make WRT this year...but will be tramping about Wales/England from 15th May through to first week of June. My brother wants to break his bikepacking cherry in Bearbones country...there will be pushing involved as I don't think he understands the geography yet. Sing out if yo...

Re: Supertramp 2024: A Challenge

I'll give it a go. Should be able to knock off 6 'n 4 during May 'n June tramping around UK....3 might be trickier with time limits for rest of year and will require creative thinking but 2 should be reachable with a weekender.

Fly to Nice. Ride to Turin. Ride back. Fly home. One of the best trips I did and a firm favourite.

Joystick user here. They've come a long way in 10 years.
Great with a diffuser in the shelter of your choosing. Mk7 on the lid....the others on the bars.
Mode 3, low setting for good battery life.

Never had a problem with my Hexamid. Would occasionally suffer from condensation if I pitched poorly and didn't allow for airflow.

Thanks James. The grotty green cup, chocolate sandwich and sneaky bivvies reminded me of good times in the Alps.

My work is 100% digital. At play it's a mashup.
I'll read maps at home but use GPS in the field.
No eeb...just a bunch of analogue bikes...and I'll take XTR cabled gears over electric all day, every day.
My oscillator modules are analogue...but I sequence in digital realm.
