Yes it will take in some of that area.
I will have a GPX ready in Feb.

Re: Help compiling a list of 2016 ITTs with group starts
Yes I think travel up on the Thursday night would be the go. If you leave it a bit later the M5/A361 is OK. Plan for a mid morning start on the 28th. There are lots of campsites/bunk houses and B&Bs in and around Braunton and car parking is not an issue. I will include advice on travel/parking a...

Re: Help compiling a list of 2016 ITTs with group starts
Thanks Alan. Hopefully the long bank holiday weekend will help with the tough course and completion. The weather is generally milder down here, and can be cracking that time of year. Lots of options for bivvying up and cafe stops en route. I am going to try and ensure the trails are good all weather...

Re: Help compiling a list of 2016 ITTs with group starts
Hi guys and gals, I am pulling together an ITT with a group start on easter bank holiday weekend (Friday 28th of March). The route will start and finish in Braunton on the N Devon coast. It will head out onto Exmoor and loop back along the coast. Stats for the course as it stands at the moment are a...

Re: Garmin 800 Navigation
I wasn't having a go. I am pretty lazy and am more open source, than large corporates making lots of moola. I think I will go with the i offer card - it isn't much more than buying the micro SD card and doing it yourself anyhuw.
Cheers dude.

Re: Garmin 800 Navigation
Yeah I found that site thanks.
It was more around how do the open source maps work on the Garmin 800 on the route. Are they accurate on the unit and work with the Garmin features.
I want to use the GArmin 800 as I want to charge it off my dynamo hub.

Re: tell me about dynamo hubs for charge and lights
If you want to charge something else you will need to do it when not running the light. You will have one feed from the Revo and one from the charge unit (Plug III or similar). Charge other units in the day, run the light at night. Simples.
Yes it is that Red Eye.

Re: tell me about dynamo hubs for charge and lights
You can get the Exposure hub and light as a bundle cheap - the EXposure hub is just re-branded SP hub. The Plug 3 or Sinewave chargers seem to be good options for charging other appliances on the go. The trickle charge port of the back of the Exposure light is only really any good for running the re...

After some advice on maps for GArmin 800. I am doing the Navad in a few weeks and want to run GArmin 800, charging from my dynamo hub in the day, phone as back up GPS unit. The Garmin Europe/Swiss maps are mucho £ - so I was hoping to use open source maps. Has anyone used these jobbies https://www.v...

Re: Sleeping bag upgrade
I have had a Cumulus 350 down bag for a good few years. Super light and packs down really small. Down is great, unless it gets wet of course. The Cumulus stuff seems good value for money. Good quality down. I used mine to tour Europe for a few months, bikepacking trips etc. Still going strong and ni...

Bristol to North Devon
I am riding from Bristol to N Devon. Want to take in as much off road as I can. If anyone has any helpful gpx files with good sections would be most appreciated.
