Wanted - 165mm cranks - Boost compatible.

After some discussion on here about crank length - I've measured up and it seems I should be using 165mm crank length.

I've seen some new ones that I'm hovering over but if anyone has a set they want to sell, please let me know.

Cheers Mac.

Re: BB200 2020

I also feel that a lot of people make it harder for themselves, thinking that 24 hours is the target, underestimating how hard that is, and then bail when it seems unachievable. If people set off with the mindset to just complete the route, there would be a lot more finishers. Good point - I'm just...

Re: BB200 2020

Next weeks attempt on hold then (Tier 2 here.) - Probably just as well as we are expecting an unfortunate event in the family at any time.

I guess it gives me a little more time to get a tad fitter seeing as I'm expecting a grueller.

There are a number of charities that provide for youth, disadvantaged or minority groups. There are a number of outdoor centres that provide for these charities. All the admin/transport/insurance/other obstacles of setting up from new are in place within the above. Offering a 'bikepacking' activity...

Re: BB200 2020

If I have enough dry weather to finish the job I am doing at the moment I hope to set off towards the end of next week from Builth Wells early morning in the wildly optimistic hope that I might get to Crickhowell for late food . I know most of the route after the much discussed track/river to beyon...

Some of the comments below the video made me smile - quite obviously a few were written by people who've never ridden (a) in Wales (b) off-road (c) a BB200  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v22jgUflcXU&feature=youtu.be&fbclid=IwAR1jKFSURKuR2oeHzbEMsq6KU-JhdIZJ0loh-YREDE52ieQGVrFQi0dv-Y4 She sa...

Re: BB200 2020

Best BB200 advice ever in the YT comments: Manly Dude 200k in 24hrs? Very simple....you don't need anything but caffeine, water, and a small amount of food. Everything on the required list, just pack the lightest stuff you can find and don't touch it. You simply grind it out. You'll be done in 16hrs.

Re: Need and want.

Someone our way has something very similar except it looks like it's made from girders, I think it's an fat tyred ebike - It reminds me of a Brompton crossed with the Incredible Hulk. Actually, I don't think it has a triangle, so, in fact, it only looks like this one superficially.

Re: What are you listening to now?

Some memories revived there Reg. Radiators from Space TV Screen EP was a lively affair for the time. Currently listening to the Angelic Process, who very much had their own sound. It's a shame that sometimes such music is an indicator of the composers frame of mind, it was a husband and wife band an...

Signed but seeing as my MP wanted to sell off the Forestry Commission and is a gerroffmalaind farmer who never appreciates me throwing the carrots and potatoes at him that his tractors drop on the road, I don't think the e-mail that I will send him will do much good.

Apparently the nipples are one of the easiest routes for the virus to enter the body, so I for one support the action. Wasn't gaffa tape invented for these circumstances?

Cambrian Eagle Mystery Solved

Back on the 2015 BB200, me and Steve NITB were bimbling along when a massive bird of prey came over the tops. I immediately thought Golden Eagle but we mused that they were instinct in Wales but couldn't really think what else it was. We weren't as high as a kite and bird watching definitely isn't a...

Re: What are you listening to now?

Clicked on this with luke-warm interest as their sound became too clean for me years ago. Turns out it's quite catchy and so I might have to listen to the full album when it lands. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OwG0J78ibMw Had to go back and have a listen to when they were murkier though. https://...
