Matte is certainly more classy but it is well known that a shiney finish has significant aero benefits, it could save you up to 10 seconds over 24 hrs! YVMV
That could be a game changer...

A question of aesthetics.

Santa has hinted at a set of Travers Prong forks for (unsurprisingly,) Christmas.

That'll be nice but I can't decide between matte and gloss.

They'll go on a Ti Broken Road.

What do you reckon, dull or shiny?

Durham services isn't that where a Mr D Cummings stopped to fill up his tank? Dunno whether he's northern or southern. Possibly just 'alien'. Wanted - 165mm cranks - Boost compatible.

After some discussion on here about crank length - I've measured up and it seems I should be using 165mm crank length.

I've seen some new ones that I'm hovering over but if anyone has a set they want to sell, please let me know.

Cheers Mac.

Re: BB200 2020

I also feel that a lot of people make it harder for themselves, thinking that 24 hours is the target, underestimating how hard that is, and then bail when it seems unachievable. If people set off with the mindset to just complete the route, there would be a lot more finishers. Good point - I'm just...

Re: BB200 2020

Next weeks attempt on hold then (Tier 2 here.) - Probably just as well as we are expecting an unfortunate event in the family at any time.

I guess it gives me a little more time to get a tad fitter seeing as I'm expecting a grueller.

Re: BB200 2020

Best BB200 advice ever in the YT comments: Manly Dude 200k in 24hrs? Very simple....you don't need anything but caffeine, water, and a small amount of food. Everything on the required list, just pack the lightest stuff you can find and don't touch it. You simply grind it out. You'll be done in 16hrs.

Re: Need and want.

Someone our way has something very similar except it looks like it's made from girders, I think it's an fat tyred ebike - It reminds me of a Brompton crossed with the Incredible Hulk. Actually, I don't think it has a triangle, so, in fact, it only looks like this one superficially.
