WTD Shaped Tarp

Thought I’d try something smaller & lighter than my Golite SL3. Had a Gatewood Cape but sold it on as it was a bit small for me at 6 1” I’ve got the Joes Shop bivi bag so something to complement that, maybe the shaped tarp he sells if there’s one surplus. With a pole would be ideal. Cheers Huw

WTD Small Rigid Bike

Looking for a bike for my 10 year old.

He's pretty tall so thinking about a small adult bike. Ideally 27.5 set up tubeless with 2.6-2.8 tyres. Prefer fully rigid with decent brakes and a dropper.

I'm in South Wales

Re: New tyres Part 2 29ers

I’ve also had good experiences with Bonty XR2 grippy enough & decently priced. Quick question, does anyone know if a 2.6 x 29 on a 35mm rim will fit in the rear of a MK2 Stooge? 2.4 is fine but they only seem to do XR2 in 2.35 and 2.6 now.

Re: What lights?

Nothing but good stuff to say about MTB Batteries. Decent price, reliable, excellent quality batteries and Mark is super nice to deal with.

Used a Lumen 800 with a 2 cell battery and a short lead on my helmet and a Lumenator on the bars with a 4 cell strapped to the frame on this years BB200.

Free to a good home

Duchie bike. 3 speed hub gear, dynamo with lights, rack, mud guards stand and integrated lock.

Needs some love, cables etc it's a bit rusty here and there but otherwise pretty good.

I'm in Porthcawl South Wales collection only, it weighs a tonne!

Re: Single speed 32:20 vs 34:20 How much harder?

Looks like I've got a 19 20 21 and 22t in the garage, they're all a bit worn but far from worn out so I've some options to try.

Thanks again for the advice

Re: Single speed 32:20 vs 34:20 How much harder?

Thanks for the replies. The chain got twisted so I guess it'll need replacing, the cog will probably be fine, I'll try it and see how it goes with the new chain and ring hopefully it'll play along and save me £20 for a new one. Alternatively I may have a 21t somewhere so I can try both. All of my ri...

Single speed 32:20 vs 34:20 How much harder?

After my catastrophic chainring failure at the weekend I need to sort a new one I've used 32t for ages which suits me for loaded bikepacking and general riding, it's a bit spinney on the flats but that's the game. Unfortunately there's no stock anywhere of quality stainless 32t rings only 34t. Onlin...

Re: Longshot WTD: Hope Pro 4 Rear Hub QR Drive-Side Spacer and Blackburn EX1 Disk Rear Rack

Hope suggested that I needed a longer cap for the drive side but I've just had a go with the cap off a Pro 2 Evo hub and as you said it fits fine.

Thanks for the advice

Longshot WTD: Now sorted

Bit of a longshot but... I'm looking for a Hope Pro 4 Rear Hub QR Drive-Side Spacer - Silver - HUB470 to change my bolt on SS Pro 4 Hub to QR to make it compatible with a Blackburn EX1 Disk Rear Rack. Or possibly the Hope kit which has 2 spacers think it's called HUB 230 Trying to add a rack to my M...

I'd like a rack on my MK2 Stooge which doesn't have mounts. I'm wondering if these might do the job?

I'd imagine that I'll be carrying 2-3kg max.

Any thoughts please?

I sent my glitchy Etrex 30X to: www.satnavrepairservice.com

I wasn't massively optimistic but it came back working perfectly in about a week for £29.99.

I've used a wide 26" downhill / thick tube in the past, got me out of trouble, much lighter than a full fat tube.
