Re: Dales Divide back on 29th August... yay (but is it still accessible!)

Shaf don't read the paper (or any news platform) regarding COVID-19. I've had great insight into the world of media for the past 5 months and it's scary. Go to the govt website and check there. Being on the trail I'm not up-to-date but if your struggling I can find out for you. All being well I'm lo...

Re: NorthPeaks100 ITT times

Love it - you even put a MP (muddy puddle) key. Trying to think of others now to. Tell you what it was hard to pace such a distance. Normally it's a very long day/multi day ride but this one you could push quite a bit harder knowing it'd be over very soon. Think your on to something with these short...

Re: Black Gore Shakedry Alternative

has anyone tried a Berghaus hyper 100 jacket? Is that the one Karl had on the HT550 last year? He bought a plastic poncho at Contin so draw your own conclusions. Of course it might not be the same jacket. I've given up on super-light waterproofs when I want to stay dry/warm now. I take the minimali...

"Even the best lubricated chain in perfect laboratory conditions still generates about 4W of frictional losses from the start." If you don't mind it being a (fair) bit longer I'd be tempted to go towards hayfield from hadfield then take in Jacobs ladder, Jaggers Clough, The Beast then Cutgate....just like you didn't want

What dreams are keeping you going at the moment? Actually talking of Karl, I'd really like to go riding in the Peaks with him showing me (or us) round, we'd sort of touched on it before but never got as far as doing anything about it. Looks like I've got something to look forward to now! So when lo...

I use Solidworks, very expensive but it's for my everyday work so needs must.

I've tried to use Fusion 360 a while back and it just doesn't flow for me. Think it's the age old can't teach an old dog new tricks (or it might just be not very user friendly).

Very interesting, and nicely done I've not really delved into 3D printing, so only have a passing familiarity with it. I thought that printed components were relatively fragile, and not necessarily suitable for high load applications ( such as resisting the forces imposed by upwards of half a litre...
