Mine arrived safely, but its a little tight even in XXL.....
Will have to get some more time in and lose some of the excess weight.

Re: Grayl filter
I have a water bag from Drink-safe systems. Gets rid of all bugs and has a carbon element to remove chemicals and tastes. I have drank really nasty smelling stagnant water through it and it tasted great with no ill effects. Will be buying one of there bottles for on my bike. Lasts a long time too as...

Re: Help needed. New build
I have managed to fettle it enough to stop it jumping off the top ring.
Did 23 miles yesterday mostly using it, cant believe how much fast you can go lol
But i still cant get it to drop to the bottom ring, its definitely too close to the frame.
Looks like a new BB is in my future.

Re: Help needed. New build
Its the second type of bracket.
I have tried adjusting the H screw but it still goes over the top.
Its got to be the lenght of the BB thats wrong.
Was hoping for a easy fix........never mind.
will have to pay the LBC to have a look for me.

Re: Help needed. New build
Also meant to add that it always over shoots the top cog too.
so im stuck in the middle gear.
not a big problem except for long flats where I could do with a bigger gear and in long hills when I need the bottom gear.

Re: Help needed. New build
I have tried everything and it still wont go on the bottom cog.
I think I need a longer lenght one.
will have to pull this one off and measure it.

Re: Help needed. New build
Cant get the bottom front gear and the chain rubs on front derailleur when in lowest and highest rear gears.
sems like the front cranks are a few mm close to the frame.
ie I need a bigger BB or it needs swapped around.

Re: Help needed. New build
On the bottom brackets is there a longer and shorter side.
ie one side for crank and one for just the pedal?
just wondering if I have mine in the wrong way round and thats why the gears don't work properly?

Re: SPOT 2 vs SPOT 3 GPS tracker
Yep the spot messanger connects to a smart phone by bluetooth.
it lets you update twitter facebook etc via its satellite connection so you can keep in touch when you dont have a phone signal.

Re: SPOT 2 vs SPOT 3 GPS tracker
From what i have read about these, the Gen 3 also has a lot of bug fixes and new more accurate signal. If i was going somewhere i would need to use one of these spots i would want the best. My life is worth more to me than £50-£100 costs for the newer one. - Thats just personally. My wallet says, th...

So far (touch wood) I have never been hit with import tax from China.
I find most of the items are either sent as a gift or has a really low price on the import sticker.

Re: Aliexpress
Most things are made in China and other foreign places then shipped to the UK to be sold. China does not have copyright laws and duly copy item and sell them on. Aliexpress also sells a lot of suplus stock from manufacturing that didnt get shipped out. I use them a lot and your money is held in escr...

If it does leak, the best bet is Sil-net mixed with mineral spirits as a thinner and paint it on from the inside.

Re: Broken pedal bearing.
Thanks for he links guys but those Wellgo are the exact pedals i have on at the moment.
I was looking for something a little more sturdy, with a replaceable spindle and bearings in case this happens again.
Then again for £10 i may buy some and hope they last longer than the old ones.
