Re: Anyone else only eat once a day?

Twice a day here. I can never eat first thing in the morning, I'm always nauseous in the morning and never get any appeitie until about noon. When I get home from work I usually have a big bowl of porridge then an evening meal later on.

Re: Bargain Alert Thread

Lots of Columbia stuff on SP. However all the waterproof jackets are ‘omni-tech’ how does that compare to the BB’s favourite outdry?

Re: Ever built a no expense spared bike?

Yup. 15 years ago I built up a Santa Cruz Blur LT with full XTR, Chris King hubs + headset, Hope brakes, Easton Carbon bars, Thomson bits and Pace (briefly) and DT Swiss forks. Must’ve spent £6k-ish on it, it was my dream bike. It’s now sat in my parents garage, not ridden it for 6 years, it’s proba...

Any trees near by? Just hang the bike from a branch by the saddle

Don’t leave it there too long to dry

Re: Remember when we were discussing ...

No, not at all, just that having this 'promoted' as part of the UK's Number 1 Bikepacking site* may be more impactful than a group of randoms trying to do it! *This may not actually be true, but I am sure the BearBones is almost certainly in the top 63 Bikepacking sites in the UK! Most people would...

Re: Remember when we were discussing ...

Agree with Colin about riding from centre of towns/cities, choosing my local city, Brum, you can be on the canals and into countryside within a few miles, or you could choose urban parks and be there in less time. As for bikes, perhaps speak to the local police and try and get any seized bikes befor...

I don't do much telly but I recommend 'Brothers Grimsby'. It's a brit comedy with a slighty dark or near to the knuckle edge to it.
Nearly laughed up a lung the first time I watched it, also goes by the UK title of ‘Grimsby’

Re: Tubeless - An idiots guide

Tubeless is either straightforward or a ballache, there seems to be little middle ground. This*. Perfect example - I’ve just put 2 new tyres (schwalbe marathon plus) on my Fargo running Mavic UST rims. First tyre went on and pumped up first time with track pump, piece of of piss.... Second tyre wen...

It looks like a great ‘value’ alternative to a Ti Fargo, which is top of my dream bike list. I need to save my pennies (for quite some time  )
