Re: 2 weeks and counting

Tomorrow is my first chance to get some training in…. Have the Welsh hills shrunk with all this recent rain or is it wishful thinking?

Looking forward to the WRT though. :-)

Aw, wouldn’t be the same without Dee and Stu!

Glad you’re carrying on spreading the gospel of getting out there, on whatever, to wherever and not caring about labels, just experiences!

Cheers and happy new year to everyone! 😁

Two boxes from Planet X. One with a few lights, grease and a torque wrench when it was on special offer.
It was also needed because there was a bigger box with a Kaffenback from when it was on a big discount!

Merry Christmas to me and seasonal greetings to all. :-bd

Having bought BSH for the write up on project death trap, a few photos of the build would be great!

What’s the plan etc?

Rob Wardell RIP

Surprised this hasn’t been mentioned or have I missed it? Shocking to hear of his passing at such a young age and tragic for his GF and family. https://www.independent.co.uk/sport/cycling/rab-wardell-dead-age-scottish-championship-b2151434.html https://singletrackworld.com/2022/08/pro-racer-rab-ward...

Postman brought Daytoner's new album Monday and today there was Pandamonium in the shape of a WRT tee.
Thanks Stu, Dee and everyone, I can feel like I've contributed a little this year.

Great design!

Re: FFS no one needs this.

She’s right, it’s illegal but…. There’s so many places to discreetly spend a night with leaving no trace that it’s not an issue. I’ve been two metres away from a track, out of sight even from a farmer passing in his pickup and not been noticed. Mid Wales is a far different place from a big city but ...

Re: WRT and routes.

I’m definitely in the leave it as it is camp but… How about instead of a planned route, you mark the shops and cafes that are probably open on the weekend that are close to the grid refs. That way there’s always a bit less for new people to worry about. Ok, I’ve done a few WRTs but if you mark the g...

Your friend might like to know that it’s a £2000 fine as a minimum, that’s even on preserved/heritage railways, covered by the same law. It might not show bikepacking in a good light… maybe get him to dress as a fisherman or member of the local hunt? 😊 Anyway, it might be close to the usual pack raf...

Pleased to say that the “Further Adventures in rough stuff” landed yesterday.

Only really opened the cover but it looks fantastic! I was surprised to see the postcards and badge.

Looking forward to getting the kick to get out there again soon once I’ve read it.
