I've seen a few like that. Last year with one brake I replaced with hope phenolic pistons - diameter was fine, just needed to shave a little off the height. Used the same seals, still working well.

Alan, having accompanied you along that non-existent path in '13 (just out of earshot of Jonathan's remonstrations) I also glanced that way in '15 and noted that a full track had appeared.

First few days were tough. I was ready for a longer stop when I was forced to change anyway. The route was hard going, lots of up and down. Not too technical but enough to keep you on your toes. Some excellent scenery and historic landmarks. I needed to average 100 a day to complete in time and was ...

Yes Ian, I picked up sickness and diarrhoea. Couldn't carry on at any pace and if it continued so tough I didn't think I'd make the end before my flight home. Consequently I decided to take a short cut down the Dead Sea then rejoin the route for some of the desert riding,
