Re: New Front Harness / Longer Bag?

If you have the space under your stem, one of these will support the bottom of the harness and will help keep it away from the head tube and front wheel -

Re: Hammock in the garden

The shallower the angle of the suspension the greater the force - in theory if your hammock was strung perfectly horizontal there'd be an infinite force acting on the wall I think you might need to check your working there Bob  But it's a fair point... Although with the right fixings and appl...

Re: Eid pressie prize! (Prize updated so gravel strokers don't feel intimidated against)

At the risk of being flippant, I was thinking along the lines of.... Gab - "Alright me old son, how's it going. Now. I want you to listen very carefully - you've to tell everyone they have to be nice to each other, got it?" Mohammed (after recovering from the considerable shock of having a...

Re: Happy 'International Beaver Day'

The wording on the website almost admits it's a stretch (reading between the lines) and it also states there is evidence for them on the mainland at the locations they list but none for here. The consultation was meant to be completed and the introduction was supposed to be 2023. This has probably ...

Smidge also keeps ticks off and made from natural ingredients. Plus will keep the midges at bay - given the mild winter, the midges are going to be out in force this year.

Re: Cranktank 3 vs cages on fork + smartwater bottles

What they said, although I take a bigger bottle or a water bladder in my frame bag, but with never more than 1l in it (I often forget to fill up so like to carry a bit more) A couple of bottles on the forks work OK but can pick up mud. A bottle on the down tube and a crud catcher is better in my vie...

Re: Bargain Alert Thread

Went to Halfords today after yet another lost rear light. Me being in black clothing I wasn't gonna risk a blind driver. The Viz150, 300 and 100 were £30, £40 and £21 respectively. Quick check on the website and they'd obviously been price matching others. Prices of £21, £30 and £16. Aero post frie...

Sorry to hear that Jimmy, glad you are recovering. Seems to be a few mishaps going on this year... The pic of your specs reminds me of those old safety films you got shown at school telling you not play on building sites etc - the shots always switched from a youth with a look of horror on his face ...

Thought while I was replacing it, I might as well get something that will cope with a larger cassette without swapping the goat link in and out, shift better, and... be more clutchy. But I can't escape t...

See images of Met Office forecast over March - looks like we need to head to NW Scotland. Similar parallels to 2012 when The NW got roasted and the rest of the UK nearly drowned, for the whole of spring and summer.

Cheers Stu, now trying to plot on a map (digital Reg, sorry)
So the utterly rubbish OS app doesn't allow you to add GR's to a route - does anyone know of something that allows me to plot all the GR's then create a GPX pf them all and straight lines between them, which I can edit?
