Good effort. Cougie was an independent hostel for a while but I never got round to staying there. Me and mates were up at Cannich one new year (1999?) and ended up in the Community centre post hogmannay booze up. We got chatting to a guy who turned out to be Ian from Cougie (with wife but no kids I ...

Re: SS. Gear for the flats or hills?

Just back from 4 days gravel touring SS.... I'd say you need a gear that allows easy twiddling on the flat as this enables you to recover and also makes for very leisurely riding. In this case I was on 2:1 on 700x40's. This can get me up a fair range of gravel type climbs and allows for very easy cr...

Seriously, I'll just stick it in the post Stu but it may be late next week as I'm off oot and aboot for the next few days or so. Is that too late?

EDIT actually just realised I need to go to the co-op tomorrow so will post it then.

Blimey things are looking up! Mind you, being the cynic that I am, I'd be minded to say this was now possible due to minimal passenger numbers with no sign of recovery for several years. Actually an ideal time to travel by train!

with a pair of Conti speed rides for the grovel bike. I'm unsure as to why their tubeless offerings in gravel flavour are £50 plus as these were £22. Anyway having tried tubeless again on the Straggler I'm going back to tubes with these as I'm fed up having to pump the tyres up before every ride.......

Oh well another dick in a car, they should form a club and have a forum.... I'm not convinced but I'm probably not the best person to ask about a bivvy bag as I've only used one (on its own that is) a few times. Interesting Bob. The gate where the access road emerges at the estate used to be locked and the kissing gate beside it too tight for a bike. There was also barbed wire wrapped round the top rails of the gate and kissing gate to make it harder for bikes to be lifted across - my Krampus has a nice big...
