Lovely shot that last one John!

This one was purely an experiment. It's not a great photo at all… compositionally it's appalling. However, that sky!

I got my pre-ordered iPhone 7 though on friday, so this is one of the test shots I took on the weekend.

This was shot in RAW on the phone using the Lightroom app, and then processed in Lightroom all on the phone.

I had a rather small and unexpected window to shoot rather good sky last week. The clouds in the shot will give you an idea of just how small a window it was, but here's my latest:

Re: Off topic: A BearBones lifestyle and minimalism.

I believe that most of us do actually like 'stuff' or more correctly, we believe we do ... the reality is that we enjoy the choosing and buying of 'stuff' more than the stuff itself. Once the initial buzz has subsided, we start the process over and ultimately end up with piles of hardly used junk. ...

Re: Off topic: A BearBones lifestyle and minimalism.

I've come to realise a few things over this summer, but I better give some context first. Out of uni I got a job (within a few days) in Plymouth. As a result of this I never really got a post-uni break. I moved into my flat and for two years kept working and kept saving with the idea of going on a b...

Continuing through images from my tour over the summer today. This one just qualifies within a month  This one was taken defending the switchbacks on Flexenpass in Austria. It's a 1777m pass with an incredible descent. It took a lot of willpower to stop and take these pictures rather than just...

Another one from Scotland! Six images in this panorama.

For those who don't know the area well, you're looking at Ben Nevis from Meall an t-Suidhe. Think I'm going to have to get myself a print done of this one!

I graduated from uni two years ago, and saved as much as I could over the two years since. I left my job on June 23rd and have been galavanting about since enjoying some time off! Mainly, though, I cycled 4000km across Europe from Thessaloniki (Greece) back home including a few less visited countrie...

4000km of Europe

I just got back from a little bike ride across Europe. Final distance was just over 4000km over six weeks. I decided to do a 'series' of posts about it on my website, and just published the first one: https://danielgroves.net/adventures-photography/2016/07/eurovelo/ We were travelling quite a lot he...
