Re: Is it an adventure bike....?

Swift will take 29 x 2.4, 29 x 2.8, (fatb nimbles, not a true 3 inch tyre) 27.5 x 3

works very well with drop bars (woodchippers are fine, currently running Cowchippers)

Re: How's your year panning out?

not brilliant but still alive and riding got ill in new zealand, been surprised how long its taking to get better, subsequent visits to docs might be revealing some underlying issues that will explain the last few years piss poor performances, still a long way from last years ability, 45 flat miles ...

go to new zealand, ride your bike, meet great folk, drink beer, camp, stay in huts, cartch a bus, swim, read books etc etc, its the perfect combination of wilderness and civilisation, plus theres nowt there that will kill you (animal wise I mean)

Re: Do you cycle on towpaths?

my commute into Manchester was often spoilt by people blasting along the tow path, not unusual to see four or five people at once chain ganging along, probably doing 20mph plus and rarely showing any consiideration for others on the path, fortunately for me I was heading in the same direction.

Re: Bikepacking in New Zealand

ask on those fb groups about storing bike box, I'll be amazed if no one offers to help out, last time I went I got tons of help and places to stay through those groups, in fact three of those people are now good friends who I'll be staying with next time I go in January
