Re: Peak ITT
It does look like it gets most of the Peak District highlights in. It's great you can start it anywhere. I live in New Mills so the little cafe in Birch Vale will be my start and end point.

Re: Peak ITT
I'm planning on an attempt in late July when the school holidays start. Much planning still to be done but hoping nights will still be long enough and I'm hoping to get it done in around 28 hours working on 10kph average and a few hours sleep.
Excited for this!

Re: Bargain Alert Thread
I'm in desperate need of a Shimano 10 speed trigger shifter for as cheap as possible. Anyone know of any decent bargains anywhere? CRC and Merlin had a Zee for about £20 but they're both out of stock.

Re: Bivvy a month 2014 thread.
I've never actually bivvied before so I'm aiming for 12 nights over the year rather than one a month. Does using just the outer of a terra nova laser as shelter count or is that cheating? A whole Terra Nova Laser counts. I was just thinking of lightness and simplicity really. The inner is a b...

Re: If there were a UK 'gravel race' ...
So we're reckoning on just under 9 hours dark?
I'm doing the 100 and was planning on taking around 15 hours so I think I'll be ambitious and take extra batteries over bivvy stuff. I've never actually ridden 100 miles off road though so this could all go horribly wrong!

Re: That there gravel race, what bike poll?
As I joined the forum because of the Wildcat 100 I'll weigh in on this. I know it's a 'gravel' race but it is Welsh forest tracks so it's not going to be mega smooth right? I'm going with 26" mtb with big but fast tyres, Ralphs probably. Really looking forward to this! Only done a tiny bit of b...
