Re: Couples and Bivvys - Do they work together?

MPolo is on the case with the tent possibility. He's been showing me some tarptent models. One looks like a stealth plane. Need a few more monthly salaries in the coffers before we start buying more kit and to be honest, the tarp is great fun, even though I've one eye open for the creepy things at n...

Re: Tell me about taking a bike on a plane

Interestingly, British Airways marked our bikes as 'Priority Luggage'.

Re: Couples and Bivvys - Do they work together?

Thanks for the links guys, but both of these are just sleeping bags. Did I mention I was looking for 'sexy hotness' ? I can zip bags together anyway, but what I meant was that keeping the bags in the outer bivvy bag (to keep the wind and rain off the sleeping bag was 'lonely' and was wondering...

Re: Couples and Bivvys - Do they work together?

Is this a zip together bivvy of 2 bags? What are they and where can I get them?
Thank you. Cute pic. :)

Couples and Bivvys - Do they work together?

I'm interested to know if many couples go bivvying together.
I've been in a bivvy with my partner a couple of times and we plan to do this regularly in future. However, it's a bit lonely in a bivvy bag if you get my drift.

Re: Tell me about taking a bike on a plane

Bike packed for flight.jpg Hello Firmo I guess you've been doing an awful lot of sucking up recently. Well done! We're just back from Morocco. We used plastic bike bags from http://www.ctcshop.org.uk/ (about 12 pounds each) and a roll of parcel tape. These are acceptable on airlines. I have a derai...

Re: looking for a nice light pole

We used poles from this site on our trip to Morocco and they were extremely light, beautifully finished and very slim. They fitted into an Ocelot bag (available from http://www.wildcatgear.co.uk) and worked beautifully.

Re: Morocco bikepacking Vid

The trip was wonderful and as for wildcamping - that was my second night and we're getting better and quicker at putting up the tarp. :D
I like how the video editor made me go a little faster on occasion. ;)

Re: Bivvy a month 2014 thread.

Careful you don't blow away ianfitz. I'm going for excuses of the month 1. My bike is in the bike hospital, seeing as I wore out the bottom bearing in Morocco 2. It's bloody freezing outside 3. It's wet 4. My neighbour is on holiday (I know, what's all that about?) 5. I have a nice cosy house and be...

Re: A Desert, an Oasis and a Starlit Night

Ray MPolo and myself were just looking through the bank statements to see what the trip cost us. And all in all including scheduled flights with BA (Business Class on the homeward leg) from Heathrow T5 to Agadir, all our accomodation and food and a wee bit of shopping, the parking and hotel at Heath...

A Desert, an Oasis and a Starlit Night

Hi everyone :D I'm new, but I'm actually Mrs MPolo so have made a wee post once. First of all, I want to thank the Bear Bones team for the great kit we purchased and the effort (way beyond the average bear) made to ensure we got replacement kit in record speed when our poles got lost in the post. Th...
