Re: BB200 The night before…

If you want something more scenic, the car park / viewing spot which overlooks the reservoir on the road between Llanbrynmair and Llanidloes is a favourite for vans. That's if it's not rammed already! There's another carpark just down the hill at the dam that's usually empty. I’ll try my luck on a ...

Re: BB200 The night before…

The Star used to be the favoured spot but that's now closed. Some will likely be in the Wynnstay Arms in Llanbrynmair which has a car park directly opposite. If you want something more scenic, the car park / viewing spot which overlooks the reservoir on the road between Llanbrynmair and Llanidloes ...

BB200 The night before…

Hi all, not done the BB200 for a good number of years and wondering whether anyone knows of any good van sleeping spots for the night before. Pretty sure I stayed in a pub car park or a car park near a pub last time… is that still a thing? Any other suggestions? Thanks all and see some of you in Nov...

Bikepacking with a dropper seatpost

Hi all, Just looking for solutions and ideas for protecting dropper posts whilst bikepacking. I would usually use a normal seatpost but I've got a new bike and the dropper is internally routed and hydraulic (never even knew hydraulic seatposts were a thing!) so I'd rather leave it in place. I don't ...

I’ve got a large Sanderson 29er frame for sale in classifieds. Similar frame to an inbred. It’s also on eBay with no bids yet so I can end the listing if you’re interested

Price reduced: Sanderson 29er frame

I've split my wife's old bikepacking bike up to make way for something new. She doesn't understand the N+1 thingy. And I don't understand how to upload photos... If you're interested in the below send me a message and I'll email some pics over. I'm based in Surrey RH4 if anyone wants to come and hav...

Charitable bicycle purchase...

Hi all, A good friend of mine has recently lost everything she owned in a fire. She was on holiday at the time and came home to the awful news that the whole block of flats had burnt down. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-49630496 To make matters worse, she didn't have any contents insur...

I want to get one of these for an upcoming trip but would rather not fork out on a new one.

Anyone got one to sell?

Lighter the better...

Thanks.

No idea why it keep autocorrecting the word r.i.g to bicycle... anyway it's an alpkit R.I.G tarp... not a bicycle tarp...

Alpkit 'fair chuffed' Tarp - Kelp

I've not used my tarp for a couple of years now so seeing if there is any interest for it on here... It's an Alpkit bicycle 7 in 'Kelp'. I've used it probably 5 times and it's in great condition. The stuff sack has a few marks on it as it's been in my 'outdoor stuff box' for a while... Anyway, is £7...

Re: Route help - South Wales

Stu, it had crossed my mind but I'm on a fairly tight schedule so not sure I can get up there really, it's quite far from England with a Bridge. I have been very much enjoying riding in mid-Wales recently though and am riding Ian Barrington's 2 ton of gravel in a few weeks with Karl. Should be fun! ...

Obviously if anyone else has any ideas, keen to hear.

Thanks again

Route help - South Wales

Hi all, I'm unexpectedly staying in Cardiff on Friday and Saturday night and am free both days to go for a ride. Unfortunately I don't know the area very well and don't have much time to put any routes together and so I thought I'd see if any of you kind souls would be able to help with some route a...

Garmin Etrex mounts

Hi, just wondering if anyone knows any etrex mounts (for stem or bars) that are better than Garmin's own plastic one with cable ties?
I've used this one for a good few years now, but can't help but think there must be something better out there???

There is no direct comparison. I have put some pictures on my instagram feed of the bothy and some mud and a crank falling off. They're currently writing a blog post about their weekend I think... There may or may not be a video... Who knows? I don't care... I'll probably enjoy reading it/watching t...

Re: How to inspire "Microadventures" - NOT

This is interesting. I've just got back from a weekend bikepacking in mid Wales. We rode in the pissing rain for 2 days and stayed at Moel Prysgau bothy. We had a great time. The ethos of the trip was to ride with heavy bags, full of steak, various cheeses, port, whisky... You name it. Whilst we had...
