Re: Folding Bikes - Experiences..
Brompton. Smallest, most compact and best fold. Perfect if you want a folder
Not the best riding, but it's still fun to ride and I do quite a few miles on mine.
Might be over budget though...

I think you were the only person we saw on Sunday - outside the pub in the Lake Vyrnwy hotel, that wasn't serving food and was the whole point of cycling up that climb!

Re: WRT 24 thanks
Thanks to everyone involved, particularly Stu and Dee, it's a great event Despite ticking off quite a few of the GRs (or passing very close by), we didn't see many riders over the weekend, which was a surprise/shame. But the weather was far better than expected and I didn't wear my waterproof at all...

There's loads of bottle mount options now, although I'm sure they vary in strength

BB carbon poles - 110cm and 100cm
I have two of Stu's poles to sell. Both used and plenty of life left in them Technically the 100cm pole is 101cm (to the bottom of the metal ferrule) and the 110cm pole is 109.5cm. Both three section poles I'd like £22 for the 100cm and £27 for the £110cm but priority given to anyone who wants them ...

Re: packable fleece?
Also a huge fan of fleece. Wear one most days Fleece doesn't pack down well. It's why it's such a good top, it retains its structure so keeps breathability etc I use a polartec alpha top as my sleep layer (macpac nitro). It's lighter than most baselayers, can be used as midlayer, feels instantly war...

Re: Hot 1: hat 0 - what lightweight oven mitt?
I've got the toe end from an old wool sock. Fits over my entire Snowpeak 450 cookset to keep the lid on, and also means I can pick it up when hot. I know it's not entirely wool though because I've melted a bit...

Re: Sleeping Socks
I've used heat holders in the past. OK, not fantastic but not bad
Moved to Montane fireball booties - warmer and pack smaller. Not sure about weight but doubt there's much in it. Used as hut boots and sleeping socks
edit - called footies, not booties

Also have the same insulated mug and has also been used on the bike a fair bit. Although mine has equally classy duct tape and inner tube to make it a snug fit in a bottle cage. And sadly mine ia a tad dented now

Re: All new Flextail Zero air pump
My thermarest neoair electric pump is smaller and lighter than the inflating sack. Had it many years now It runs on 2 AAAs but they last forever. I wish it had the option of beinf USB powered so I could use a battery pack. I've thought about wiring up a plug and adaptor but CBA When the thermarest p...

I don't suppose anyone has gone to the trouble of putting all the GRs into a mapping tool so they can be seen in one map?

I have a pair I've never used, but they're the older metal ones and I'd rather they go together. But if you're interested let me know, I can bring them to the winter event
