My sleeping mat doesn't fit inside my bivi bag
Well only with a regular thermarest and the Army DPM bivvy bag. Certainly not with a large Neoair and the PHD bivvy I use
Their tarp setup looks weird, but it technically would be easier to get in the bag in that arrangement

Oregon user here
I use the Garmin 1:50k map for Southern England as that's how I got it, but I'd probably buy the ioffer ones if I was starting again
Bought it for walking but it's seen good use for biking

Couple of potentially useful bits of information
Lifeventure Ti cup is in the sale in blacks (in the shop I went into anyway)
The Snow Peak 450 cup is my favourite cup and fits wonderfully, whilst in its homemdade reflectex cosy, inside an Alpkit stem cell

Why not just spend the money or some serious security? Where is outside? Can you put them in some form of shelter or building? Can you chain them up with multiple locks and then secure that to a ground anchor? Maybe alarm and security light as well? My garage is alarmed - inside my motorbike is chai...

Re: What lights to buy?
2 torches is good, but might not be floody enough for some of the riding. Runtime is naturally impacted too There are quite a few options but its all budget dependent. I bought a Solarstorm X2 which was cheap (£25 or so, I think maybe less...), floody and runtime was OK considering the output. All I...

Re: Bearbones bike jerseys - design's up.
Any thoughts leaving now sizing? T shirt size is medium normally. Chest size says 40 inch chest is a large, does that mean I should order L or XL if I'm ordering a size up? Not sure if the fit is athletic AND the sizing is out, or if the sizing is accurate to chest size and is slim fitting on that b...

Is that a quote from the bible?

Re: Only 179 days to go until ...
Hmmm, will be a maybe for me then. Fancy doing the winter bivvy and don't fancy a schlep twice in a month (and using two passes)
Saying that, if anyone arranges a southerly one (I'm in North London) then I'd be game. Chilterns maybe?

I think milk is supposed to be an excellent recovery drink
Chocolate milk has loads of sugar in it so has fuel as well, any milkshake will work
Not chocolate is just odd though!

Re: Footwear
On the WRT most people wore SPD shoes I don't like to ride my MTB with SPDs so wear flats - Teva Links in my case. I did the WRT in these If the conditions were going to be soggy I'd probably take something with more tread for the hike a bike sections but that would give me less grip on the bike. Wo...

Re: Bearbones bike jerseys - design's up.
Looks good!
Is this going to be done as a group buy, or are you going to be buying loads in and keeping it as an in-stock item?
Will be buying one if price is reasonable
Out of interest, how much did the last one cost?

Re: BB Jersey - A quick poll.
In fairness, if Stu organises it, as it'll be a jersey with his branding, then its not that bad is it? If its a third party or member doing it then it would be different
A bit of 'customer insight' to inform the design and gauge demand, then design, produce and supply.
