Re: Knee/Leg warmers for thunderthighs

I had some Lusso leg warmers that weren't for a 'southern European type build'.
They were good quality, although they did have an internal seam. Could be worth a look..

When a group of us rode the northern loop a few years ago, after the OBH, let’s just say, weren’t the most welcoming, the Achness hotel were brilliant..

Wasn’t there a similar NATO exercise during a BB event a few years ago that played havoc with everyone’s gps?

Re: Garmin mount for 22mm bar

You can get spacers from 22 to 31.8, i've got my Maxx-D mounted like this (sorry, can't find the ebay linky). A thin piece of heli-tape on the bar should help to prevent it from slipping. Edit: Think it could be one of these- https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/282823719164?hash=item41d99b78fc:g:RCoAAOSwItFe...

Re: Touring complications - Brexit related

All pre-existing, pre-brexit rules for non EU countries. Tories would love to have us thinking it's all some revenge from a malicious EU, covers the fact they had no clue what the end results would be. You’re right James, suppose it’s just the realities of Brexit starting to take effect. Just hope ...

Re: Touring complications - Brexit related

The whole thing is crazy, going to hurt their tourist industry as much as it’ll hurt us. Probably more so, as people will just go somewhere else..
Wouldn’t surprise me if this is a result from the stand-off over all the on-going fisheries stuff..

Just got this link through from a friend in France, not read it yet, but he reckons vistiors will have to pay 30 euros for the cost of the certificate too!

Re: Touring complications - Brexit related

I've found the jobsworthiness of French officials varies from maximum PITA possible to CNGAS at all so it could be a lottery. I think it’ll come down to this^ Been working in Northern France for just over a week now. Was flapping a bit before I left, trying to make sure I had all the correct paperw...

Cat litter (clean obviously) Instead of rice.. right, thanks for the warning, I suppose that means any dried groceries. or paper bag/ kitchen roll/old buff as a buffer? Re: New GPS ideas please.

One more time with feeling: https://i.imgflip.com/58dng1.jpg I don't actually disagree with this. I think the market is crying out for someone to hybrid the GPS with a phone and Android is the ideal platform to do it. It needs someone to work real hard on a simple user interface as apps are too faf...

There might be a bit of that in it Jase but I think it was more just down to bad arse maintenance tbh. With finding a sympathetic landlord not really an option atm, a bothy would be the next best thing.

Really wouldn’t like to be stuck out in this weather overnight after riding in it all day..
