Re: 29+ mudguard options
Mudhugger works on rear , as noted.
Front ( lauf ) nothing fits well so small rrp enduro guard and crud guard ( not perfect would prefer a better solution but laufs dont really work well with a normal mudguard )

I have teravails in 44mm Suspect there is a better tyre for 80% road use and its ok( predictsble) off road but not great if its muddy ( not terrifying either but if its muddy grass i advise walking , mud over hardpack its much better ). Definetly luxuries for me ( and eye mask utterly unnecessary for me ) though i tend to take the clothes for all but an overnighter.
I really enjoy how personal / different the list of camping/ bikepacking kit is.

I reckon those signs mean you can moor all year round but only for 2 days Yes 48 hour moorings all year round ( some are enforced some are not depends on how busy / near a lock keeper / nimby type who volunteer to walk each pound - the bits between locks ) are very common or 24 hour by water points...

Re: Small tubeless setup/DIY compressor
I have a 9 litre tank compressor (£45 iirc).and two issues 1.air flow is not great but its a dirt cheap tube and inflater, a better quality may remedy this. 2. All inflaters are schrader not presta so you need a solution there. I just use it to inflate a 9 litere fire extinguisher and dump from ther...
