Re: Spain and the £97 rule
How do you do that if phone is lost stolen Why am I cancelling a card when my phone has been stolen? Lost phone = get a replacement by walking into a shop and buying one and a sim. Of course its not hassle free but its going to be considerably quicker and easier than getting a new card sent to you ...

Re: Spain and the £97 rule
Who would but is its probably easier to deal with than having your wallet and cards stolen and easier to fix.
My approch would be a joint bank account so someone back home can still deal with or santander and go into a bank there ( will have passport so should get access).

Re: Is this 'bikepacking'?
Because you need a special vbke for each type of riding so gravel rides cannot be done on a flat bar rigid 29er etc. This is actively encouraged by the cycling orientated media outlets and brands

Re: Is this 'bikepacking'?
Whatever camping means it does not mean paying to stay in a hotel. I fully accept you stretch the BAM rules to a point they make no sense  Touring is still not bikepacking its touring.and staying in hotels is not camping Edit BAM rules prohibit paid accomodation Pps i doubt any of really care, ...

Re: Is this 'bikepacking'?
Not sure that argument stacks up You make a very good point and its well argued but i am not budging, walkers need to be more precise is my take on your argument  Still think we have a word for the different types of moving on a bike and staying away.and touring does not equal bikepacking ( y...

Re: Is this 'bikepacking'?
Bike packing is clearly bike and camping.
Removing one ( camping or bike ) means it cannot be bike packing ( how far you go is irrelevant)
Nothing wrong with touring but its not bikepacking anymore than a sportive is or an enduro race is.

Church ones are outside usually round the back. Any with tended graves/gardens will have a tap. Some really old churches with really old graves dont have them.So is it common for churches and graveyards to have taps to refill? good to know

Re: Aeroe rear rack thoughts
Its clearly.a bad idea to inflict clamping forces on a carbon tube and almost certain to end in disaster ( esp if you give it enough time )
The racks do look pretty bomproof though
