Re: Are new GPS units much better than older ones?

Garmin connect is good for planning road routes as its maps to the road , automatically beyween two points and incredibly accurately for turn by turn/ not getting an off course warning * * more of an issue off road as someone may have used a straight line for an obvious 2 mile track for their gpx ro...

Blue tooth is useful as I can make a route on garmin connect or memory map then connect etc to get it on to the unit if rerouting whilst out. Also mine will tak...

why you're a failure
No parent or partner is perfect, with or without a diagnosis, we can only do our best. Failure is a strong word , be kinder to yourself.as we are all our harshest critic

Hope next year is not as tough on you or rapideye.

Government Property Agency has banned ebikes from their premises
Due to fire risk rather than some sort of anti [e] bike position
Do you want your bike burnt due to some poorly maintained chipped electric bso?

Re: What you done t' your bike today

Once slashed a + tyre and sewed and glued trailside. Held air till that part was at the bottom then it leaked . Decided if i ever get a big slash* i am going straigh to tube to save an hours trailside faffage. YMMV

* it was about 2 inches , so a tad optomistic of me

Re: (Ultra long term) Wahoo Elmnt gps review - 7+ years ownership!

The big bugbear for me with Garmin is their power management rules, just inconsistent and occasionally baffling Mine is 4 years old and still pops up a display, every few months, to warn me using the display uses more battery ( no sh1t sherlock) and then it keeps the screen on till you say ok to it...

hooped bivis are solutions looking for a problem Not sure a hooped bivvy has a problem a bivvy bag does not have ( bit more weight ) , what exactly do you mean ? IME a bivvy is great if its dry and awful if its wet or you are wet as impossible to stay dry getting in or out. Not sure what additional...
