Re: 'Int tubeless brilliant!

Don't forget to remove the original rim strips....even if it looks like they are going to help the gorilla tape get a good seal!

I've been tubeless on everything for around six years now, and it's only failed me twice....both big tears that would have ended any tyre, tubed or not!

The website description looks like it was hastily thrown together, but I really like the look of that!

I would want 29" wheels though....... And they take my type of cycle to work vouchers :-bd

Re: Carbon 29er frame with DT forks / Xt brakes

And if the frame goes, how much for the brakes?

It's a cracking deal, but there would be too much month left at the end of my money!

I'm in need of some brakes though!

Great words Alpinum.....I think deep down, that we all feel a bit like that, but I, for one, can't always do the big stuff. For me, I like to leave my house on my bike, and return under my own power...l despise having to get a train somewhere, or driving somewhere to start a ride. I can't bring myse...

Re: Simple drop bar conversion

I've just converted my old 1995 Marin team ti to drop bars.. I used a pair of 105 (5700) shifters with 10 speed chainset, chain and an old xtr (952?) 9 speed rear mech. I am using V brakes though, as the frame is too old and doesn't have a disc mount on the rear! Works perfectly! I would have used s...

Re: Cold toes

I get this too....my best results so far have been a thin pair of merino socks with a bigger than normal lake boot, so I have an air gap at the front of boot. Then, I've bastardised some neoprene booties, so only the toe and a stringy bit that goes round the back, remains. This set up is good for su...
