Axminster area bivy

Short notice, I'm getting off a train at 9pm tomorrow night at Axminster and heading to the Wessex Ridgeway. Going really lightweight with just the bivi bag and a summer bag.

Anyone camped near Wootton Hill, Champernhaves Marsh area? Or can recommend a good sheltered spot nearby.

Re: Any kayak packers on here?

Rich I will have a look at those dates and let you know, probably unlikely as it clashes with the Shindig. But you might change your mind when you hear that I am the holder of feck all BCU certificates. Our place is in Brixham, I could meet you somewhere near Kingswear as going round Berry Head and ...

Any kayak packers on here?

Been down in Devon all week diving and kayaking and I've put two and two together with all my sea kayak and bike packing kit.

Think I might do a trip out from Torbay in the near future. I'm assuming it's the same as bike packing but with more whales?

Re: Creating a .gpx route for Spain

Install Garmin basecamp then you can create maps for free using this site http://garmin.openstreetmap.nl/ and export the GPX out of it.

I've done this in France, USA, Sardinia so should work in Spain

Re: Makes you think.

My mate Dennis rode LEJOG at the age of 80. He asked me to find out if he was the oldest guy to do it. So far I think he maybe but I told him that no doubt somebody would pop out of the woodwork having done it older. Dennis replied:- "If they do, can you tell me their age and I'll bloody well g...

What happened to the Trekker tent ? It looked good that one..
This trip convinced me to never leave it behind. I was trying out going with no poles to save weight but sleeping in the midge net is just not for me.

Another (very) dodgy video, this time it's Wales

After my epic fail on the HTR 550 I needed to test out a new arse, new saddle and some new mind control techniques in order to bring back my bikepacking Tao. In haste I downloaded a C2C route for Wales from Llandudno to Swansea and jumped on a train Friday evening to try and knock it off over 3 days...
