Re: Rohloff speedhub

I've got one on my bikepacker and love it for that application, where the slight draggyness and bit extra weight seems less important It's seems better suited on a 29nr than i felt it was on a 26" wheel bike i used it on previously. Very reliable, mines been faultless, my mates Alfine 11 was a ...

Re: What bars are you using?

I've used Jones 660mm loops on my el mariachi and like them, good for long day comfort as i seem to get less shoulded ache. However i'm trying some Black Sheep Moustache bars at the moment and i really like them. Not quite as extreme as the loops. More 35° then 45 but comfy.

Re: Stans ZTR Crest Rims

HI; i have used crests without problems on the front wheel of my rigid 29nr, I was advised to fit a beefier rim on the back so i chose the Arch EX. ( same dimensions but heavier duty ). Hope this helps. Mark

The alternator dropouts are brilliant. Very easy chain tensioning and you get a standard bottom bracket too,

Re: edinburgh - 'uddersfield

I used to live near Kirkburton
my advice for the last bit is to stay in the pennines until Marsden, upto Wessenden Head on the PBW, swing down to Metham, back road to Honley. Farnley Tyas and into Kirkburton.
Hope this helps
