Garmin Oregon 300 with OS maps here, a lot like the dakota but bigger and fair bit heavier, does the job very well. I bought a couple of mounts off ebay for around £2 and they attach with two zip ties and are really solid, just slides on to the back of the GPS.

83km loop around Calderdale, Ogden, Hebden bridge and Todmorden , met Ben for most of it until he skidded along the tarmac on his front :roll:

Pinnacle Ramin if you want a cheap 29er. Karl Booth was in the top 5 for BB200 last year on one. Anyone got any ideas for routes to ride in France/Spain/Switzerland e.t.c that take about a week to complete with good travel links (ports/stations/airports) near the start and finish for this summer?

Geax AKA tyres, bit worried about the tread (or lack of it) compared to old tyres but after a short ride in some slick conditions they preformed much better than expected :-bd

We were thinking of doing west highland way from Glasgow then stay in fort bill for a couple days riding some trails there then ride back down and get the train ...
