Re: Turkey Türkiye

Turkey is one of the best places I have ridden a bike, amazing food, vaguely exciting people, great roads and epic scenery. Winter will be tough, spent some time there at sea level over Christmas and it wasn’t warm. Expect snow for sure. This was in the north in Izmit so maybe the south would be a b...

I am trying to place the order but it is not adding the shipping costs (I am in Canada). Am I missing the button somewhere?

Re: Slightly unique Sunday night puzzle!

Thanks very much for the replies. Some good ideas. Further complicated by carbon forks and seatpost. Think gorilla or anything cages are best on forks. And sling stuff under the down tube.

Slightly unique Sunday night puzzle!

Evening all! I'm in Turkey right now heading for Iran, I have picked up another cyclist who is on a racing bike with no braze ons, using revelate luggage. He would like to come into Iran but needs to carry a little extra weight, probably on his forks which are elliptical so won't take the monkii cli...

Yeah I'll take one, if there's a really cheeky option to take two I'll have an extra. :)

Bivy/wild camping spots in mid Wales

Evening all,

Planning a ride down to Brecon from Chester area to visit a mate and looking for tips if anyone can help. The end of day one will see us around Newtown. Anyone have any good suggestions for spots to wild camp around the area?

Many thanks!

Sounds good, thanks very much for the website pointer, it's really helpful.

Re: WRT Pics

That's why I went for the troll, 29er parts are not as common outside of Europe and that states. I don't have a spec yet, got some ideas but nothing fully planned. I'm learning all the way and am fairly new to cycling, just searching through other people's specs and looking at the parts that come up...

Hi, no fixed date yet, my surly troll frame set arrives at the end of the month so when that's built and the funds are raised. Realistically two years I guess! Is your troll going to be for your trip?

Ill give it some thought and get some long days in to see how I cope.
Any suggestions for something involving a bit less mileage would be still welcome.

So what now?

This years welsh ride thing was my first bike packing event, and it was an vaguely exciting weekend!

So what's next? Can anyone recommend any other similar events? I might regret saying this but anything with maybe a bit more of a competitive element?
