I built a 2014 Fargo as a SS flat bar with Fox forks and love it. Nice thing is that the 2014 frame has alternator dropouts, so SS is easy, as is Rohloff, Alfine or gears. I like the fact that it has a properly designed set of dropouts for Rohloff, not a bodge. So it would be well worth considering ...

John, interesting comments on Planet XLS, Vaya, and 29+. Am I reading it right, that XLS really needed wider rubber, such as a Vaya could fit, but in fact 29+ is the solution.
