Re: Salsa Warroad owners….
Also not totally convinced it’s the right size. I’m 173cm and bought a 54.5 but it’s a lot more compact compared to my other bikes I’m 170ish and got the same size, it’s a biggest frame I’ve had and it fits well, think they run a little small (I’d normally opt for 52cm or so). That’s a shame if you...

Re: Salsa Warroad owners….
I’ve spent all week (maybe a forum career?!) contributing nothing but unhelpful advice this week, so might as well carry on… No mudguards for me either, just put up with a muddy or soapy bum but I only ride solo and most rides on it take in off road. Was thinking of those ass saver win wings to keep...

At the risk of de-railing (thanks, I’m here all day) the thread, that inside no 9 episode was brilliant, one of my favourites!

Re: New Bike Gear Out And Due Out...
That's slightly perverse - all that tech to make it light and aero but if its got a motor then it will still only do 27kph. Target audience - rich idiots who want the look but can't be bothered putting in the miles. Yawn. Oh, you want a bike for rich idiots...? I give you the J.LAVERACK ASTON MARTI...

Re: Has anyome used any stuff from Haglofs?
I’d say it’s very good stuff, slim fitting (or at least the male side is), got a couple of pieces and they’ve lasted really well. Would happily buy their stuff again

Earlier this week, but with a second hand Bike Friday 20" folding bike. Looking forward to putting it together and getting out for a spin on it this afternoon when the weather clears up, and then dreaming up some public transport-based adventures to take it on  Keen to hear about the upc...

Re: What are you reading now?
Just finished Shackleton (audio version if it makes a difference?) by Ranulph Fiennes.
Was something I have been meaning to read for a while but just never got around to committing to.
Wow! What a story, thoroughly enjoyed it.

Liking this from Bespoked show https://theradavist.com/2023-bespoked-gallery-2/ enlighten me ... I'm obviously missing something. Brilliant! :-bd Might steal that idea  I copied this from an instagram post I saw a while back :-bd They used a suitcase for the base but I went with a block of wood Looks great. Re: Lamp
And one more
Lamp
Using a newish but useless wheel (well, the hub section) that has sat in my garage for a couple of years, I decided I would make a lamp. Bought a lamp lead with fittings for £7 and a fancy bulb for £4.50 and after a bit of sawing and chopping, this was the result

Re: Yay, it's cheery Friday.
Just celebrated my 39th birthday this week, so I reckon that means it’s one big party year until my 40th??
Training course away next week got cancelled, so that means I can stay at home but will miss out on eating curry for three nights in a row with beer on expenses
