Bow-Tie Strap Anchors

I'd like to attach something, probably my tent, to my bosses on the underside of my downtube. Do I really need anything more than the bow tie strap anchors? Does a cage or something like the DeWidget Strap ‘Deck’ actually help much with stopping the item moving around?

Re: HT 550 Logistics Help.

I'm doing the Highland 550 starting about April 15th. Could someone lie to me and tell me that most of the snow will be gone and it'll will be sunny and nice please?

Re: Waterproof shorts / 3/4 / trousers recommendations

I think they are the Zenith and aren't available anymore. I was keen on them.

Waterproof shorts / 3/4 / trousers recommendations

I normally don't bother with waterproof shorts that much but I'm riding the Highland 550 in mid April at a leisurely pace and think a bit more protection for when it goes pear shaped would be a good idea. I've got some Endura waterproof shorts with a draw string waist but I don't particularly like t...

Re: Wahoo Roam, "distance to next cue" & Mapyx Quo

Thanks all. I think a one month subscription to ridewithgps might be the solution, I haven't found a free way to do it. I want the cue sheet for the cafes / shops along the Highland 550 so it's just a one off really.

Re: Wahoo Roam, "distance to next cue" & Mapyx Quo

What is a "cue" in strava? Is it a specific field or just a point name?

Wahoo Roam, "distance to next cue" & Mapyx Quo

Hi, I use Mapyx Quo to plan my rides and make gpx files. With the Roam there's a "distance to next cue" feature which tells you the distance to the next point of interest that you've identified in your gpx file. Does anyone know how to get this to work with Mapyx Quo? I asked both Wahoo an...

Routes north of Skiddaw around Great Lingy Hut

I've still not visited Great Lingy Hut, are the routes north of Skiddaw gravel friendly or is it mtb territory?

If you post a reminder a couple of weeks before you set off I'll try to give an update on the ground conditions so you know what to expect.
Thanks! Any chance you could open any gates for me as well please?

Smartphone mapping / bike computer sync

Forgive the clumsy title. I’ve always fancied a gps unit with full OS mapping but don’t want to spend the money required or replicate what my phone already does. What I want is a bike computer that has simple navigation, either inbuilt or pared to my phone, that’s suitable for offroad use. If the si...

Scottish route advice for April

I've got about 8 days for a bike packing trip towards the end of April. Originally I was keen on the Cairngorms but it seems the consensus is that there will be plenty of snow. I'm looking for a mountain biking route rather than gravel biking. I assume that the Borders will be more suitable, does an...

Inner mesh tent for a tarp.

I'd like to increase the usability of my flat tarp, which I often set up using the bike instead of poles, by having a mesh inner tent. Has anyone found a suit inner that is adaptable enough to suit different types of tarp pitching?
