Re: Fargo with Jones Loops

@undertheradars does..
It looks awful, but it rides well.
As does the Fargo.
Apparently.

I’ve a Krampus with Jones bars, and it’s my go to bikepacking bike.

Although, to be fair, when I had a Fargo I had Woodchippers on it, so can’t advise on what it felt like with Jones bars..

Re: Heavy weight day to day coat recommendations

Love my Fjallraven,
I’ve about 10 different jackets of theirs, and countless pairs of their trousers too..
This is my go to now it’s getting colder.
Warm, down, waterproof and wind proof.
A great bit of kit imho..

do you ever want to get on your bike and just ride off and leave everything behind, and i mean everything.
no phone, no problems, no noise, nothing.
just ride and keep on riding.

i wish i fucking could. :-(
Yes.
Been struggling a lot lately.
A hell of a lot.

Re: Ever built a no expense spared bike?

Yup. Santa Cruz Heckler. Full XTR FOX 36s Hope bling, Thomson finishing kit.. Back in the day a large frame was 19” with a 22” Top Tube.. No matter what I did, I couldn’t make - it fit it just felt wrong. Sat on it, not in it, if tat makes sense. Hated it, so never rode it, sold it far too late, but...

The one I picked up is definitely carbon, I think it's fairly cheap to produce in the far east these days

Sometimes riding is like farting.
If you force it, it turns to sub standard.

I have more than my fair share of down days on a bike, but yeah, don’t get to het up on it, it happens to us all.

Saw a post on Faceache the other day with a guy asking if there was an app for the best wild camping spots..

When people advised him there wasn't he replied he was going to develop one and market it..

Joy.

Not.

Metalheart has one. I'll PM him.

I've also been interested in one of these but the new OR Interstellar has also caught my attention.
Cheers Colin.

The Interstellar looks ace, but at nearly twice the cost..
