Another 'new' Cycling UK route

This time, Snowdonia. You can expect big scenery and some big climbs. Given the lack of legal routes Cycling UK can promote, it does look good. And it starts/finishes just 1 mile from me in Conwy. It is at the proposal stage, whatever that means but it does look pretty good tbf https://storymaps.arc...

Re: Bivvy a month 2022

August done! I dragged myself out for this months bivvy despite being off work for most of the month! I'm so glad I did get out though. I parked up at Brynrefail at the western edge of Llyn Padarn and followed the lovely cycle way to Llanberis. Then the climb up past the youth hostel and onto the 'r...

Where does everyone find the time to spend x amount of days away from the family?!
For me its a 2 way thing. If the Mrs wants to have her time with the girls then fine.
Also being a miserable tw@t when you don't get out works. She'll then understand that being out is your therapy to be happier.

Very sad to go at such a young age, especially as he was such a fit guy.
A reminder that the human body is a delicate thing and to make the most of our time here.

From what I've seen on IG and here, it looks like Iceland delivered its menacing beauty for you both.
It does look like you covered some miles too, fair play.
Tell me, how many river crossings?

Re: Todays ride

No big mountain scenery on today's ride. From the front door I had a nice pedal along the coast to the west shore of Llandudno, then over to the crowded north shore. From there I made my way along the cyclepath to Colwyn Bay were they're in the process of 'making a new beach. Very clever it is too. ...

Re: Todays ride

Yesterday I headed back to a valley I first rode back at in December. My thinking was it'll be easier going due to drier ground, it wasn't! The faint track that turns into a quad bike track and then nothing heads up the valley from Bethesda following the Avon Caseg. It was scenic enough and not anot...
