Re: Bivvy a month 2014 thread.
Summittoppler; nice video and scenery, a bit less sweary than others I have seen recently;-) Do you like the Virb? I have been thinking of getting one for a while now and keep wavering. Cheers Its the Virb Elite and imo it gives better quality footage compared to the Hero 2. It seems to handle the ...

Re: Bivvy a month 2014 thread.
Cheers Mike, the camera that I use is the GoPro hero 2 and I won a Garmin Virb on FB a few weeks back so the footage on the bike is that one. As for the tripod, its just one of those small 4" jobbies which does the trick. I just use movie maker for the editing as well, would love to get my hand...

Just about made it 7/7 for me  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nFGHczqQwr0&index=1&list=UUWJfPO69s5ZZ7SKht099rPQ I enjoyed that, I think it's the best one of your videos yet. Interesting that in the first half the majority of shots are of you riding away from camera and the second ha...

Re: Bivvy a month 2014 thread.
As a local, what do you reckon? Tbh Ian, in over 20 years of mtbing round those parts I've never had any verbal of any walkers. The area between Sychnant Pass and the eastern end of the Roman Road is well used by bikers and horse riders let alone the walkers. It drains extremely well so its not lik...

Re: Bivvy a month 2014 thread.
Nice one Jeff, enjoyed that :-bd Those tracks in the first half - are they the "footpaths" between the top of the Sychnant Pass and the east end of the Roman Road? Bivvy spot looked good too. Cheers for the feedback They are indeed Ian, I know what you're thinking * you can get to Capel C...

Well done on the mileage and again like the previous posts, I enjoyed that video. Not sure if you intended it to be funny but I was chuckling at times watching it especially at 9 minutes in

Yes a great video with some great footage and music, brave decision for pulling the plug, all the best on the recovery.

Barney how did you get this picture by the way? http://i86.photobucket.com/albums/k110/markPC/bivi/bivi-a-month/Apr_Anglesey/camp.jpg Its one I took with a GoPro 2 on the wide setting. There was some raised ground just opposite so I scrambled up in the morning and took the pic  Height + wides...

Had there been a storm. What's with all the fallen trees?
Probably the gusts we had a few weeks ago. There were quite a few trees over the fire road tbh which needed a full on detour on the track to get round them

Thanks for the feedback guys  Slowupslowdown-you're right I was camping in the shadow of Moel Hebog, but 3rd highest is a little too much  If you camped on Yr Arran, then I can see how the views were spectacular, a cracking spot  Rufus-Yes, a GoPro 2, simple but vaguely exciting pi...

Re: Short video from last w/e
That's not too bad. How do you do the panning shots when on your own? or is it in the editing? if so what do you use please? Cheers John  The panning is done in the editing. I use Windows Movie Maker which is as easy as it comes tbh. There's a few different transitions/effects you can use to ...

Here's a short video from last weekends camp in Beddgelert forest. I should have made more of an effort getting the footage together but my heart wasn't in it

Well chuffed I've made it 3/3, I was looking at the first 3 being the toughest but I've really enjoyed them. Managed a pootle around Beddgelert Forestry, North Wales for this one with potential views of Snowdon (4 mile away) but the cloud made an appearance so it wasn't to be. Some pics: http://i403...

Another North Wales one for me tomorrow night. I've got a job to do till mid afternoon then I'll probably drive to Llanberis and ride Telegraph valley and head into Beddgelert forest and find a spot
